Gerrard was a 1 off, I've always thought the best way to replace Gerrard, or him in his prime is by getting a better system.

I can't think of a player as dynamic as him, past or present! I'm not one of the older lot on here so I may be wrong

Tackling, Speed, Strength, Passing, Driving runs, Shooting and his ability to pull us out the **** year in year out consistently.

Him never seeming to find his 'best' position is down to the fact that when playing in one it can always be pointed out that a certain attribute of his is missing when he's not in the other position.

EDIT: Yeah I hope we sign Eriksen too

the only way to replace gerrard [in his prime] is to have more decent players on the pitch to ensure there are better contributions from all positions rather than have some sort of cyborg/terminator machine who can pull the rest of the team with him.

eriksen can be a part of that future team

I don't think we'll see another Gerrard for many years to come, but this fella would definitely soften the blow!

I can't imagine seeing another player driving forward from CM only for the move to break down on the edge of the box, then to sprint a further 60 yards back putting in an inch perfect tackle to stop their counter attack. Gerrard has it all, maybe his days are numbered but I could see Eriksen being an absolute superstar, hopefully, in our team.

totally agree mate I just went off on one about Gerrard

In terms of attacking options we'd be almost there with Suarez, Coutinho and Eriksen! Sturridge is a useful player, a different kind of player but you need variety.
