Iniesta.
Zidane for me is one of the most overrated players in the history of the game IMO. Now watch me get ripped to bits for stating that.
Yes he scored in a few finals. But if he truly was a game changer, the teams (namely Real) would have won a lot more.My kebab comes with chilli sauce

I guess you think Zidane was decent, nothing more?
Not a game changer, but if he could have changed games he could have been decent?Last edited by Muddled; 18-02-13, 04:24 PM.

Yes he was good but I'd put him in the same class as the likes of Rivaldo, Ronaldo (fat one), Ronaldinho, Figo, Iniesta, Xavi etc. Zidane had great skills and some nice touches, but was he consistent? He performed well on the big stage but I can recall his time at Juventus hardly being eye catching. I think Rivaldo was one of the most underrated players in recent times. In fact he was unbelievably talented and he was a game changer. He won games on his own for Barca and was consistent.Originally posted by Muddled View PostEach to their own.

I suppose the next tier of players of players would be Cristiano Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona etc (not that I have properly seen the latter 2 play).
Messi is the one and only player in the next tier. He is unreal. My kebab comes with chilli sauce

I think I like players that have that *edge*. I've always enjoyed watching the footballers that are just sitting on the cusp of being bat**** mental; Zidane, Stoichkov, Ketsbaia.Originally posted by Captain Stu View PostIniesta, I always thought it'd be Zidane but Iniesta is equally as breath-taking when he plays, I think he's a better professional and far more level headed.
I'm jesting about good old Temuri, but those players that are a little bit crazy, unpredictable and whatnot always seem to be on that fine line of genius ... much like Suarez.
Iniesta is just a goody two shoes.
