Liverpool winger Luis Alberto is returning to Spain to join Malaga on loan.

The 21-year-old signed for Liverpool for £7m from Sevilla last summer.

Hopefully it will see him kick on, I think there's some potential in there definately.

We didn't get to see a lot of him but when we did, he never stood out for me. He wasn't horrible on the ball like Aspas but i still don't understand what some have claimed to see in him. Too slow for the premierleague.

I think we got a bit over-excited because he came from a Barcelona team. Had he come from the English championship i don't think anybody would be willing to give him more time.

I don't think he ever stood out - he was never going to stand out in a minuscule clutch of six or seven minute cameos and anyone who expected him to was living in fantasy land. He is painfully slow but I thought he showed glimpses. There was one game - can't remember which - when he came on with about 8 minutes left, made four successful passes out of four including one really really lovely through ball. He can spot and pick a pass, and in that reserve game when he scored a hat-trick showed he can finish too. I think he's got something but it's difficult to envisage him ever getting him regular game time. Happy with a loan - let's see how he does.
