Would they? i'm fairly sure a club has the right to reject the request.

Anywho while its disappointing from a fans perspective its embarrassing how over the top some are going and the conclusions they are jumping to. None of us know how much we were able to spend or the instructions given to the negotiators. Nor do we know the demands of Dnipro.

Unless you have seen the clubs financial statements there isn't even a way to know for sure that the money is there to be spent.

Hopefully this means a bigger summer transfer budget. The team is still capable of getting 4th.

Not if the player wants to move. You can't restrict a person's desire to change employment!

You employ these people to do a job and to simply turn round and say "all 5 failures were out of our control" doesn't wash.

I'm not blaming any one person for the failures but something isn't right when time and time again we end up with the same outcome.
As far as I am aware (and this could be totally wrong), 2 chose Chelsea, 1 had already agreed a move, 1 didn't want to move and 1 chairman refused to ratify the deal.

The player is free to buy out his contract if he wants to move.

Questions have to be asked of all concerned not just of this particular transfer **** up but the entire window, in 4th place, all our big remaining fixtures are at Anfield and although an outside bet we still have 16 games to strike for the title and how do we assist the manager in achieving these goals with a threadbare squad struggling with injuries? We do **** all expect make all concerned look ****ing stupid. If it all goes tits up from now the manager gets a free pass as far as I'm concerned, not his fault the club is jam packed full of incompetents and amateurs

Likewise, your view has to be backed up by a thorough internal investigation into the failings our our transfer dealings. Either way, it's simply not acceptable to be so poor at concluding deals and risks need to be minimised much more than they are at the moment

I don't agree with that. All of those failed transfers were given widespread coverage in the mainstream media. It's not like they were only discussed on fan forums. Obviously forums like this intensify the process for fans, but the fact remains that we have repeatedly failed to sign reported 'key' targets.

Plus, internet fan forums have been around for some time now. They're not a new phenomenon. And I don't remember our club having such a string of high profile failures in many years.

We triggered release clause, every single thing was agreed. But the Dnipro president literally refused to sign it before the deadline.

What a ****. Can we complain about that?

SSN: We triggered a £15m release clause in his contract but owner refused to sign the paperwork. Surely that's breach of contract?

If we triggered the clause does he not have to sign it off or was it a Suarez/Arsenal type clause.
