    Balotelli...... Great Signing

    Comment

It's the picking and choosing of what offends people that gets on my tits, imply everyone from Liverpool is a thief and you'll get more laughs than you cause offence, especially from football fans, but say Jews are thrifty or black men are skilled jumpers, and you're in deep ****.

And yet the world tells us that they should be role models and people to look up to, I don't think footballers or sportsman in general can win tbh.

Whilst it was a bit of a silly thing to put up I genuinely don't think he'd any idea it would be taken as it is sort of feels like he's being castigated because it's Mario and they can.

How the FA feel they can take any kind of moral high ground with things like this I've no idea.

The overwhelming majority of people don't take offence about stuff like this. We Scousers would spend most of our lives complaining about others' stereotypical notions about us if we didn't have a sense of humour. You can say pretty much anything you like about us in the general media and not be criticised - which is the exact opposite of how other groups of people are treated.

There are far more things in the world to get upset about than this kind of schoolboy humour

Same goes for many racial / ethic groups.

However I think it rather depends if you've faced persecution or not. You can understand that killing peoples sense of humour for a few centuries at least.

I do feel for him this time round. I am no fan of Mario, but calling that racist is a joke.
I am Jewish, and proud of it, and took no offence to the post.
The again my mates and I often refer to ourselves as Yids or Yiddles, but apparently that's offensive too..... Go figure

I agree. It's madness. What sort of utter **** does a person need to be to share their views and opinions on a public forum. But do you know what would be even worse. Some **** sharing their opinion on ****s sharing their opinions on public open forums!
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Personally I'd have been more concerned if he made the image. Naive, but it's clearly a light-hearted attempt to open people's eyes done in the wrong way. I'm sure if a player who isn't Balotelli posted it, there'd not have been too much made of it.

Agree with the consensus, who gives a **** about this. It was ill-thought out and he's apologised, can't we all just move on? He'll probably get charged and banned. What a palaver.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                            Kind of agree.

It'll be a bit of brutal irony if he gets charged. The man has suffered racist abuse throughout much of his career.
                            *Except Michael, who died.

Well I hope that the FA get around to dealing with and sanctioning Dave Whelan first. Or maybe they want to grant Whelan more time after he sent a letter to them.

Would hate for the FA to come across as being inconsistent
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

5 game ban for breaches of FA social media guidelines.
That, combined with his injury should take us nicely into January, with absolutely not detriment to ourselves overall.
Then we can bounce him out on the cheap and cut our losses. Always thought we'd end up with similar money back if it didn't work out, but if he's not even contributing the odd goal or two, beggars can't be choosers.
