Yep. Looking at the game objectively, England had the first half but Croatia absolutely controlled the rest. Last ditch defending got England so far, but experience really won through.

The commentary mentioned that several Croatian players have won more trophies than the entire England squad. We're talking Madrid, Barca, elite German and Italian club players. They're pretty ****ing good really despite being a quarter the size of London population wise.

It's gonna be hard after three extra times, but they're better suited to playing France than Belgium.

So go Croatia. It would be some story.

I've said it before many times. I think Nationalism generally brings out the worst in people and there are too many countries in the world. And the national chest beating I find regressive, pointless embarrassing and I don't identify with it.

A bit like religion for you, I suppose.
