A bit like religion for you, I suppose.

**** em all generally. But for Sunday I'm firmly supporting one team.
Have you literally not one ounce of a secret desire to gut a Serb?

      Hahahahaha.

I'd like to think not. It would be a different answer from my parents, mind.
      Oh I don't know.

Even from cursory contact with people from the region, you can tell that **** runs deep.
Where are your parents from? Do you ever go back there? And where the **** were you during Krade's Croatian romance crisis a few years back?

Folks are from Dubrovnik / Mostar.

          Don't go back often enough.

And I was on the sidelines pissing myself on the sidelines. I completely forgot about that.

Would Sterling have been onside? Looks ahead of the last defender there.

Pretty sure there was no offside. I think the lino flagged (Kane), but VAR would've overruled it.

There wasn’t as Kane was on, but Sterling looks off there had Kane passed to him

I think (hope) it was because he was knackered. Dier just doesnt offer the same passing, pressing and momentum.

I thought the game was gone (it was on its way before) when he went off and it was a sign England were playing for pens. Dier isnt a creative player in anyway.

Sterling is behind the ball so onside

And for once England (both the team and fans) didn't besmirch a tournament. On the contrary. Been a fun World Cup all round - nice summer distraction. Can't wait for the real stuff to start though.
I hear you on this but I've struggled with this notion that it is a likeable team.

I like a lot of them but Pickford, Walker, Young, Ali are players I can't get behind. Something about them ****s me off and I'm not overly enamoured with Kane or Vardy (who is a pos off field).

Been really impressed with Trippier though and glad Hendo won over a lot of his detractors.

I think this world cup has left me a little cold for reasons I can't quite put my finger on, maybe its not having a dog in the fight this time? I'm not sure.

Although to be clear, I'm actually glad people have enjoyed it and got behind the team.

Offside anyway even if trying to get around opponents of the pitch rules......Not the brightest lads
