South American footballers don't settle in this country.

It's OK spending 2 million on Solano or Paletta, that's minimal risk, but I wouldn't pay much more for a South American.

first of all they weren't big money signings, but i agree they have not been upto it so far...

so on these players you judge all south american players???

two big money signings have not made it big and two young argies struggling to adapt...

You're being very generalist there, the south American footballers we've seen haven't really settled in this country thus far fair enough, that doesn't mean they wont settle in the future, or that different players wont settle here tho does it?

The risk depends on how well suited the player is to the league, not on their nationality. Regardless of any general trends, individuals should be assessed on their own merits not by the fact they belong to a certain category.

Applying generalisations to individuals leads to inaccurate assumptions, for example an American assuming a particular black person would know more about basketball than a particular white person - when the white person could be Larry Bird and the black person could be Trevor McDonald.

                LOL

How many games have they had then? And in a team that has been ****e all season, been subject to a takeover, had a manager sacked etc....

I wouldn't say Crespo 'failed' either....

I can't believe you doubt the knowledge of Trevor McDonald.

Sir Trevor the Great has not been the same since 'Tonight with Trevor McDonald', which was a veritable turdfest and sensationalist to boot

His fall began with his campaign for real english or whatever it was called. The most irritating, pretentious, bilious campaign inflicted on the English people by anyone other than the Daily Mail.

To think he has won more awards than any other British broadcaster

How 'Tonight' show was of such quality that it sometimes refused people the chance to defend the accusations it made against them etc
