Its just so much speculation.... none of us know what the deal is, no-one can say if he'll be a success or not...
No-one can even say if it'll be allowed or not...

My tuppence worth although it is 5 pages late. Mascherano is a very good player who can add steel to our midfield. There is nothing to lose by getting him on loan till the end of the season, absolutely nothing.
If he proves himself we get ourselves a bargain for 6£ m. If he struggles then fine, send him back to wherever he came from. Simple as.18-5-7-8-3
