Favourite Lpool Goal?

I loved Aldo's goal in the FA Cup semi fianl against Forest in 1988.
That season probably has more of my favourite goals than any other than season. Barnes against QPR has been mentioned but Beardsley's against Everton is one that always sticks in the memory.Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.
Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

ITV or BBC OB were on strike, so no TV record exists, just the memories of those lucky to be there.Originally posted by zimbo View PostI was going to mention that one, but thought no-one else would remember it.
He picked it up near halfway, ploughed through a tackle with the lamentable Whiteside and just kept on running (which, to be fair, was something of an achievement in itself). Just before reaching the edge of the box he unleashed an absolute hurricane of a shot which, had Gary Bailey got anywhere near it, would have reduced his hands to bloody, quivering stumps.
He also got a penalty in the same game, we came from behind to win 2-1.
Never seen it on telly since it happened, but I remember the Daily Mirror having a centrespread the next morning devoted entirely to the big fella's almighty explosion. As it were.
Bailey has admitted that it was the hardest shot he ever faced (some deal for those who remember a classic WBA vs ManU game when Cyrille Regis' power destroyed them...but I digress)

No. I recall him missing at Anfield in the League Cup Semi Final 2nd leg, v QPR in 1986. We drew 2-2 and went out on away goals. We managed to score 2 own goals too.Originally posted by looprevil View PostIs it true big Jan never missed a penalty for us? Amazing stat if true.

this one?Originally posted by Trousers View PostCan anyone remember Fowlers volley against West Ham at upton park.
Also take a look at his Second goal in the first 4-3 game a faster counter attack you'll never see. His goal against Bran bergen I think is his favourite
you have to see it to believe it if Rooney had done something similar Lawrenson Would have turned into sir alexes personal toilet roll.

Bit late here so no doubt all of the goals I have in mind have already been mentioned. But what about this one...
My memories are rather hazy. I think it was against Arsenal. Steve McMahon chased a seemingly lost cause and just kept the ball in play, nearly fell into the crowd, composed himself, drove towards the box and, er, someone (Aldridge or Beardsley) scored...somehow.
Great anecdote huh?!

Can't remember who scored that one either. I remember McMahon putting his foot on the ball just before it crossed the right touchline, almost going into the crowd then getting back on the field before the defender got to the ball. After that I'm drawing a blank!Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostBit late here so no doubt all of the goals I have in mind have already been mentioned. But what about this one...

Same here mate. We definitely scored though, but I just can’t remember how and who. That passage of play summed McMahon up for me – desire and sheer will to win. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
