. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
has this been confirmed yet then or is it just radio speculation? cant find any links on the official site or any council sites?? good news if its confirmed for sure.
Go hicks i say.......
The building work has barely begun, but Radio City can exclusively reveal plans for Liverpool’s new stadium could be yanked from the drawing board.
The Reds’ new owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have ordered a thorough review of the ground.
The reason? They’re considering adding an extra 20,000 seats.
A meeting was held last night and it’s thought they now want to build an all-seater to outstrip Old Trafford.
A decision that is welcomed by Les Lawson from the Reds’ Official Supporters Club, he said: “It’s no use to go along with the stadium when it could be improved and made better.
“There’s exciting times ahead for Liverpool and Liverpool supporters, the future’s looking very good. The more people we can get in to see the Reds play the better.”
No firm decision has been made so far. But Dave Joyce, from construction firm JYM Partnership, who ran the rule over problems at the new Wembley, tells us inevitably this kind of move does lead to delay.
He told Radio City: “If a project initially has been designed to hold 60,000 and then they want to extend it to 80,000 that wouldn’t be a problem.
“But if the building was designed for only 60,000 then you have to start a redesign, go back to the planning applications so six-months extra would be minimum.”
Interesting news this, but it's bound to delay proceedings quite a bit, and there will bound to be many, many objectors to this plan.
80,000 seems fantastic but I won't like the look of all the empty seats on a cold Wednesday night in January when we play a struggling side or a lower league side in the cup. I'd rather see a full stadium than loads of empty seats like we see regularly at Villa or Boro these days. Saying that, it should solve thousands of people's problems that are on the season tickets waiting list!
It would be great to have such a huge stadium but I feel there's a very long way to go yet if these plans are true.
I am assuming this means the whole stadium design will be overhauled? Hopefully we get something a bit more inspiring and something more likely to retain the atmosphere of Anfield
Radio City Have Announced that liverpool are to apply to increase the new stadiums capacity from 60,000 to 80,000 they had a board meeting last week and decided to press ahead with an application for increased capacity.
Rushy well done
Moores and Parry must be red faced looking at the changes that are being made.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

someone mentioned that a new rail system or something like that was needed if the capacity was raised to a level like this for the new stadium, is this true? and wouldnt it cost a small fortune?.
Does this mean we leave Anfield or does it mean they are simply just going to borrow even more money.

This information hasn't been confirmed officially by LFC. We have to bear in mind that it's not definitive, as they're still looking into it ... whether to go forward with building a bigger stadium or going with the initial plans.
The club can say goodbye to the grants if they push on with the 80,000 stadium though.
