Not liking the reports coming out from Athens

To be honest, **** all to do with Revo like cos ive found him to be sound for years on KT and here but that bold statement is bollocks. If the dickheads hadnt been there then they wouldnt have needed such well trained staff would they. Most peeps knew they had blag tickets cos they were like £50 instead of £600. Nothing any reds fan can say condones the knobhead element we are growing and it is getting worse.

Every club has a dickhead element. We are from a big city, you only need to go to town on a Saturday night to see dickhead culture.
We have always had this element, when i used to go away in the 80s they were there. now they are there with thier kids. we are not unique in this, Everton, Man U, Man City, Tottenham etc etc have this dickhead element.
Its football culture, like it or not, they will always be there, so its up to UEFA and the like to make it impossible for them to get in without a ticket. In this case they never.
If we get to Wembly next year the dickhead element will go down to London but they wont be able to just walk in and prevent people with legit tickets getting in. Why? because its a proper football stadium not a feckin althletics stadium.

We can not stop dickheads travelling but UEFA can choose better venues.

I do not agree with people rushing a stadium by any means. Period.

However, I also take ST's view that if someone can bypass a security check safely and weasel their way in, then good on them. That kind of stealth should be taught to our strikers.

UEFA left the Greek riot police in charge of checking tickets. They did not step up and do it themselves. If instead of leaving it up to the host country,(which obviously doesn't work) they had a UEFA team in place to handle the security, ticket checking, and "Designated fan Areas" (read: concentration camp) things would be much different.

I still do not blame the Greek police for this ticketing debacle in any way. Just as much as ticket checkers at Anfield aren't trained to diffuse a terrorist situation at an Embasy, the Greek Riot Police are not trained to look for the idiosyncracies between fake and real tickets while in full riot gear.

2 jobs. 2 job descriptions. They did the best they could, and only answered from orders above.

HOWEVER......

The stadium was NOT full and there were random empty seats all around. Also, another point that I have thought of that I haven't seen anywhere else is....

HOW THE **** DO THEY KNOW IT WAS FULL WHEN THEY DIDN'T USE TURNSTYLES TO COUNT THE PEOPLE ENTERING?!?!?!?!?!?!

After they said it was full and the tear gas and beatings started, THAT is 100% their fault. Real familes with real tickets that couldn't get in and tear gassed and beat because of it. Gross 3rd world tactics that should not go unpunished.

The Stadium to me was not the issue. Any stadium can be converted to host this sort of venue in a very short time. It's the lack of responsibility that UEFA showed in being accountable for the setup that is the issue.

On a side note, I brought a French Platini jersey over with me to get signed by my friend that was doing security for him. After he gave it to me, I immediately gave it back to him. I've lost all the respect for him that I had as a player.

there wasn`t empty seats behind the goal in the lower tear it was rammed in there with people on seats in gangways and stairways and as a scouser i`m sad to say a lot of the problems were caused by the little *******s who have attatched themselves to us and who had no intentions of paying for a ticket and didn`t give a **** who`s seat they were in including kids of 5 or 6 who were in tears and obviously distressed by the whole thing

Not good - will be interesting to hear the views of people who were there

• Fans pickpocketing/mugging other fans
• Including a family with 2 kids!
• Fans storming the gates
• People getting in with forgeries meaning people with tickets didn't get in

Apparently the gates were closed 10 minutes before kick-off because the stadium was 'full'. Feel really sorry for anyone who had a proper ticket and didn't get in.

I hope the ****ing idiots who stormed the gates got a good kicking from the Greek police.

One of my mates got mugged, I saw the fences gettin pulled down, i know loads of people who bunked in and i know someone who paid 200 euros for a ticket from the club and was refused entry until half time.

One of my mates got mugged, I saw the fences gettin pulled down, i know loads of people who bunked in and i know someone who paid 200 euros for a ticket from the club and was refused entry until half time.

agreed my neighbour got dipped and lost his match tickets and money i saw fences being ripped down i know loads of people who bought blag tickets knowing they were blag and gate 32 around 30 minutes before kick off was like a battleground and the staircase down to the seats was one scary place to be in and my mate who had a genuine ticket was gassed and hit with a truncheon

agree with that also but seeing these kunts with justice stickers on tearing down fences and storming gates is a sad reflection of euro aways nowadays
