Seems like a pointless signing if true, he's not better than JAR and hopefully we'll see more of Aurelio if he stays injury free next season, but maybe that is Rafa's thinking that we don't have a dependable backup we can count on. I'd be surprised if this was true.Thomas Hicks SeniorComment

Havent seen enough of hom to judge him, but would hate to see Riise go. He's been a very good buy for us and a great Worker for the club. One of the few Left sided players around that is not injury prone

Once again my irony is lost without smileys i apologise. The point i was trying to make was he does all that Riise does but is capable of defending whilst in my opinion JAR isn't. I have seen Taylor play on numerous occasions in the flesh and on TV and he has always impressed me in an average side, he runs all day can get forward, tackle, passes quite well and can also shoot from distance.Originally posted by Howard_lfc View PostRight then. If Riise is going i think he would be a decent replacement, we have needed a decent left back for years, as we continually leak goals from crosses down that side, JAR gets sucked inside to easily and he doesnt learn.

Haven't seen enough of Taylor to know if he's good enough, I only watch Pompey when we play them cos those bells drive me up the ****ing wall. What does worry me though is that it might well be another summer where Rafa buys too many players and we struggle at the start because of it.Like blood on ironComment
