I'm dissapointed to see Pako go but it would appear that whatever changes were made over his head have, so far, been of great benefit to us.

Hasnt GED been everywhere this summer, always at matches and pre season tourney's talking to Wenger etc..... and he was at the Champs League draw yesterday for what???

I actually quite like the idea. To have a person who no longer wants to be involved in management but still loves football & the club to provide continuity between managers. It is hard to see how to make it work when you bring in someone arbitrarily like Spurs/Chelsea have though.

It is also difficult to work out exactly what their responsibilities would be. I imagine being the link between manager and Melwood would be a decent core role with us. If they could take some administrative work off of the manager then I guess that would also be a useful thing.

Not sure about the idea of Ged doing these roles though.
