Will Rafa win the league with Liverpool?

We will win the league with Rafa but as usual it comes down to money.

If G&H backs Rafa then we will the league without any doubt at all. Rafa showed this summer what he can do when he is backed up in the transfer market, even if £20m or so isn't that much money.

It will also come down to whether a manager recognises his own faluts and mistakes and acts accordingly to correct them, rather than being pig-headed to save his own blushes. Shankly realised this when he had to break sides up (and he realised his loyalty had lasted a year too late when he had to brak up the Lawrence, Yeats, St John etc. team). Souness was too rash, Evans too soft, and Houllier too stubborn. Rafa has acted quickly when he realised he had made mistakes (Morientes, Argie CB (whose name I can't remenber), Bellamy etc.)


Benitez (I hope) has this quality.

After yesterday's debacle I can't say I have complete faith in him, or much at all to be honest.

After going 3-1 down he whipped off the only player most likely to get us back in it. Just think about that.

He basically gave up trying to get a result against Reading to focus on Marseille.

There could be a number of reasons why this happened, but nobody forced Rafa to start with that stupid team selection and formation.

And the problem is that he tends to keep doing it every now and again, and there really seems to be no good explanation for it.

We're still in with a chance of the league, but will Rafa hinder us or help us get there?

For the record I think Raffa will win the league with us! And I really think it could be this year.

This forum is so annoying. Before, when we drew a couple of games people were even talking about Raffa's successor. Then when we put a good run together all the negativity dies down. ONE defeat, our first in the league this season, and everyone's at it again.

I'm not defending Raffa for yesterday's **** up. He got it wrong in many ways but he played Carra, Gerrard, Torres, Mascher etc. The ones we moan about if left out. FFS he even started Crouch, and everyones been banging on wanting that for ages!

The fact that Momo(and I'm of the opinion he shoyuld never play for us again) and Voronin and Riise also started instead of others shouldn't really come into it. Raffa obviously thought, and they should be, capable of beating Reading. The team he put out should have won.

I am, howeve,r defending Raffa because he's our manager, and IMO has been a very good one and will continue to be so.

Freedom of speech, I fundamentally disagree with Rashid 99% of the time, and the fact that he only posts when we're losing is certainly interesting, but what are you suggesting, we ban anyone with an alternative opinion? That would certainly make the site less "old".

Oh, and stopping "caps rages" has nothing to do with anyone "bettering" the site per-se, its simply a piece of code implemented on about 90% of internet forums 'cause posting all in CAPITALS is utterly lame, and has been like that on here for ages.
