Thanjk you.

If we all wanted the manager gone because of a defeat we'd be Newcastle supporters.
If you're suggesting that is my position then you're wrong.
Like I said, I made my mind up about Rafa and the league after about a dozen games last seasons. I said so back on Koptalk and was laughed at for have the temerity to question Rafa's record.
The next day we lost to Man Utd away with the inspired, or is that insipid, "Kuyt lone wolf striker" formation with Crouch, who had banged in a header in a vital European away game during the week, twiddling his thumbs on the bench until the last 20 minutes when we were already 2-0 down.
There have been times when my faith has been restored a little only to be crushed by all too predictable tinkering.

Well if Rafa isnt the man for us in the league according to you, then what is the alternative to wanting him gone?

I'd seriously consider Capello if he was interested. His football might not be any more enjoyable to watch than Rafa's but I think he's got a better league mentality. There would be concerns of course (age, language) but you can't really question his achievements.

Rafa also came with a league mentality having won it in spain twice. You cant really question his acheivements. So really, why would you swap Rafa for Capello when you admit it wouldnt really be any different? Rafa's cv is up there with the best of them for his age.

Fair enough, you've made your position clear. Blind faith it is.
I on the other hand saw a team going backwards from a 2005-2006 where we had ended apparently on the cusp of something that could have turned into a title-challenging side.

you can guarantee that this side wont challenge for the title then?

Rash. When have I ever said that?
Backwards? I don't agree at all.
I think making your mind up last year and sticking to it, no matter what, which is what you statement indicates, is absolutely ridiculous.

ffs, we've lost one game in the league all season, if we beat marseille in widweek and the mancs next week, we'll not be paying too much attention to this result, lets see where we are at the season instead of all this talk about switching managers. Obviously the squad isn't quite up to the standard we hoped for, as soon as these players are replaced and we're rotating in quality players then we'll be fine.
