Depends on the context, level, tone and quantity of said words, and also a little on whether a mod only saved you from the sinbin the previous day by turning you into a teletubby.
Coops can fight his own corner, really, he can
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.

Agger is very good at that but he still isn't up to the required standard but is an improvement over Carra as regards to playing the ball from the back. Sami is also a decent passer of the football from defense, but I agree that we need someone who will combine excellent positioning, defending and passing. Carra is an outstanding defender / stopper if not the best around, but he clearly lacks the ability to spot passes in tight areas and when he's pressed he just hoofs it.Originally posted by AFII View PostWe need a few changes if we will win the title.
We need more ball playing defenders that isn't hoofing away the ball.

Woah there fella ffs, its only an opinion.Originally posted by sean_lfc View PostHow can that be spot on?
I mean seriously, think about it, 'ditching rotation'. That means he plays the same 11 for every Premier league game. How ****ing ludicrous and as far removed from reality is that?
It's the most pointless point raised, there will always be rotation, especially as we have over 60 games a season. People think 'yea well he can just play the same 11 in the League and rotate in the cups'. I mean what the ****!?
Let's say, for the sake of argument, that there is a far off galaxy in this universe where this scenario were the case, what would happen to vital factors such as fitness, morale, different opposition and their differing tactics which might demand different tactics on our part?
Just take morale for instance:
If you left out pretty much every other player who didn't make the first 11 initially, how would they ever have the chance to prove their worth of being in said 'glamourous' and 'important to the league cause' squad?
To add to that, if you had said B-String of players who just dibble and dabble about in the cups and have no hope of getting to play 'The Real Deal', why should they give a **** of doing well in the cups?
This is pretty much where it ends for me. It's a ludicrous thesis, outrageously unreal, beckons belief. People really live in Championship Manager world, it's like when people say 'Yea, play 3-5-2', as if you could just whip out that formation for whichever opposition you're playing.
Football management isn't that simple. It's not like you just 'think about the next game', I've said it before, it is an incredibly complex football season which demands substantial planning, forethought and knowledge of management, it's not like you just click a few players into your game and then come matchplay press play.
Whatever, if it keeps you busy with life thinking about such hypothetical stuff, go right ahead
Get a grip man
Its ok to rotate a couple of players at a time but, to change so many at one time AND leave your best striker on the bench and only putting him on for say 15-20mins at a time, doesn't give them anytime to put a immediate impact on a match.
This is MY OPINION ONLY

We need better wingers.
We need a penalty box specialist.
We need a creative player in Kuyts position, Nasri would be my first choice.

So abuse aside, whats the "minimum requirement" of a Liverpool manager? I'd say to challenge for the title every season, maybe not win it but challenge for it. I don't think Rafa will win it if he doesn't change, his methods so far have got us nowhere near the title in 3 years. I'd say that in any pub, be it in Toxteth or the Wirral. What utter wankstained comments on here about an honest post.
Going back to my point, if Rafa isn't up getting us the title of course I want him gone, but if he is then it's cool, he can be happy with the £3M a year plus bonuses we give him. I genuinely think if he doesn't refine his obsession with rotation he won't win it, and the last 3 years have proved as much.Last edited by Rashid; 25-09-07, 01:06 AM.
