Just like to point out that we have had our highest ever premiership points tally while under Rafa. A feeble 9 points off top spot.

That was in no small part down to Kewell and Crouch. The former has not been adequately replaced and the latter has been treated terribly by Rafa.

We do at times. But we play it very cagily, not incisive like Man Utd and Arsenal.

TBH, our play looks like United or Arsenal in slow motion.

Except, it's only us who are playing in slow motion, while the opposition are playing at real time pace and therefore get men behind the ball quicker than we can get it forward into dangerous areas.

Spot on. And this is why we need to exploit the wide areas more as it is the only space we have to take advantage of when we play so slow. The defending team get players back in the centre and we have no chance of getting through. But our wide players seem to prefer to bring the ball inside than go on the outside of the man.

When we stretch the game more though, up the tempo and go for it like we did in the last few mins today and against Besiktas in the last 10 mins we look a lot better. But it only happens for 10 mins in games
