OK - my 2p worth.
I have not been able to read any threads since the game because I couldn't face it.
However, I get the general feeling is that of frustration (to put it mildly).
My view is that he should have played Torres, but the the team he did put out should have been more than good enough to beat Birmingham anyway.
In answer to the question posed at the start of this thread, I didn't answer because there was no option for 'I don't know'.Oh I don't know.

how incredibly incitefull by Rashid, not.Originally posted by thekop View PostSpot on mate
I think 95% of LFC fans have been saying the same.
The bit that gets me is if it doesn't change I will be calling for his head.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

How can that be spot on?
I mean seriously, think about it, 'ditching rotation'. That means he plays the same 11 for every Premier league game. How ****ing ludicrous and as far removed from reality is that?
It's the most pointless point raised, there will always be rotation, especially as we have over 60 games a season. People think 'yea well he can just play the same 11 in the League and rotate in the cups'. I mean what the ****!?
Let's say, for the sake of argument, that there is a far off galaxy in this universe where this scenario were the case, what would happen to vital factors such as fitness, morale, different opposition and their differing tactics which might demand different tactics on our part?
Just take morale for instance:
If you left out pretty much every other player who didn't make the first 11 initially, how would they ever have the chance to prove their worth of being in said 'glamourous' and 'important to the league cause' squad?
To add to that, if you had said B-String of players who just dibble and dabble about in the cups and have no hope of getting to play 'The Real Deal', why should they give a **** of doing well in the cups?
This is pretty much where it ends for me. It's a ludicrous thesis, outrageously unreal, beckons belief. People really live in Championship Manager world, it's like when people say 'Yea, play 3-5-2', as if you could just whip out that formation for whichever opposition you're playing.
Football management isn't that simple. It's not like you just 'think about the next game', I've said it before, it is an incredibly complex football season which demands substantial planning, forethought and knowledge of management, it's not like you just click a few players into your game and then come matchplay press play.
Whatever, if it keeps you busy with life thinking about such hypothetical stuff, go right ahead

We need a few changes if we will win the title.
We need more ball playing defenders that isn't hoofing away the ball.
We need better wingers.
We need a penalty box specialist.
We need a creative player in Kuyts position, Nasri would be my first choice.
We need to sell some players because we have a to big squad.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I voted no, but that doesnt mean I want him gone. Like some others said already, rotation is good depending, but not good when you leave your most expensive player ont he bench who is young and fit and strong and resting him after 3 games into the season makes zero sense. If he stopped doing things like this I think we'd have a definate chance, which is why I didnt put yes or the other options because after 3 seasons we can see he doesnt plan to change how he does things.
I just hope, considering I know nothing about being a manager, unless FM is considered, that he gets a proper flow going with the players and things start to work.
To be fair we DO have quite a few new players in the squad. Give them about 10 games or so to gel and I think we'll be off to a flyer for the rest of the season.

It does seem though, no matter who we buy, every season for as far back as I can remember, we have always need two or three players, it never changes.Originally posted by AFII View PostWe need a few changes if we will win the title.

I think the same can be said for nearly all teams though, there is always room for improvement in different areas.
Hopefully, the squad we have now, is ample enough to win us the league, I actually think it is, provided we get some cohesion within the squad.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
