No I don't. I want him to stay and do a Valencia with us. But if he can't and he has had 3 years, then he has taken us as far as he can. We won't know until we give him a year or so to prove it.Originally posted by paulcooper4 View Postboth, whats your question 1st? Do I want rafa gone?

Finnan plays almost every game when fit, so does Carra, so does Reina, and Gerrard (he wasn't fit against pompey!). They are clearly the best at their positions, with every other position there is a case to be argued for picking a number of different players depending on the match.Originally posted by desertscouser View PostRP, I'd be interested in seeing those stats. The thing is, I'd be willing to put money on the fact that both United and Chelsea seldom rotated their group of core players from premiership games and both teams still remained in the hunt for major honours up to the last kick of the season.
How many times do you reckon Mourinho rotated Cech, Terry/Carvalho, Lampard and Drogba in prem games? very few.
Same goes for United. Van Der Sar,Ferdinand/Vidic, Carrick, Ronaldo, Rooney.
I'll vote for yes but only if Rafa stops over rotating and keeps a core group of players playing the majority of premiership games. He must also make the premiership our priority if he's to bring back no 19.

He`s a great manager who has got this club back where it belongs at the top of the pile. Of course he didnt walk straight in and win us the league title, the aquad he inherited was ****ing ****e.Originally posted by Rashid View PostNo I don't. Yes he won a european cup with that squad but that was down to the fact it was a knockout competition where desire and tactics can take you a hell of a long way.
To win a league you generally have to have the best team. I now feel he has the best team and it has taken him 3 yrs to build because until this year he didnt have the biggest ammount of resourses available to him.
This is his squad now, and it is unbeaten and has even learnt the most important lesson of all when wanting to be a league champion, which is how to play ****e yet not get beat.
This man deserves much more respect than you are offering.

Why cant he do that with Torres and the rest of our "main" players then??Originally posted by captainfog View PostFinnan plays almost every game when fit, so does Carra, so does Reina, and Gerrard (he wasn't fit against pompey!). because like I said other players are very good and a case can be argued, whether you or I agree with it, to play them in certain games.Originally posted by thesilverfoxlfc View PostWhy cant he do that with Torres and the rest of our "main" players then??
Sometimes we don't win, not because Torres (the only first choice to be left out at the weekend) didn't start, just because the TEAM did not play very well. The way we played recently I doubt Torres would have made a blind bit of difference. We need to start doing the basics a bit better, then we will start winning again no matter who we play up front.
Unfortunately the international breaks have caused us to stutter a bit and we are not playing brilliant football at the moment. We'll click back into gear soon and all will be well.

A nice nutter you are a bit afraid to pat on the headOriginally posted by Kaip View PostA nice nutter you wanna pat on the head or a nutty nutter that you steer well clear of
I can't describe exactly how I view your on-line persona.
We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

Just like to point out that we have had our highest ever premiership points tally while under Rafa. A feeble 9 points off top spot.
Every season so far we have started badly. This season we havent. So if we go with the recent history of our season generally starting in Oct/Nov and us finishing the strongest from then on, this seasons better start gives us a helluva chance of finishing right up there.Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.
