It's not necessarily all about players for me.

We need to improve our passing and movement as unit, as a team.

Too often we're static and the player in possession has little or no options on, or simply isn't talented enough to execute the pass.

Look at Arsenal's players today, all comfortable in possession with the confidence in each other to pass to a player under pressure in tight areas of the pitch. And they nearly always had multiple pass options.

That's partly down to coaching and tactics, and having talented players.

But we do need better players. A left back who doesn't hoof it, and who can defend better, though to be fair Arbeloa has looked good.

We certainly need quality attacking midfielders. Not going to go into names.

Get rid of Kuyt, Voronin, Sissoko and Riise in particular. Hyypia needs replacing at the end of the season.

Truth is, we will always need extra players. As long as I have been a Liverpool fan, we have always needed another 2 or three players, despite the trophies we were winning. Arsenal, the mancs and the chavs could all say the same.
It is getting to the stage now where we just have to start producing with the squad we have. Not as if we don't have many options.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

If we bought a geniune world class winger and another striker they will not get rotated as Rafa has shown with Carra, Agger, Finnan, Gerrard, Reina, Torres. I think Rafa rotates because of the players in the other postions are all about the same standard.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noway has insua got as good a strike of the ball as Riise. For all Riise's flaws, not many players have the technique he has got when it comes to shooting.

IF Alves is available for around £15m-£20m then he is a must signing IMO.

The other Alves could also be a good signing. We need someone who can bang in the goals for us.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                    Have you seen him Marcus50?

He's got a cracking left foot, not the same technique but just as effective

Anelka. Without Torres we are so short of pace. Its like last season again (Bellamy doesnt count)
Anelka has genuine class with his pace
