Past his best maybe but is still better than Voronin IMO and in the opinion of most I'd say. (not just LFC fans) I'd have deffo kept Robbie for 4th choice striker.

I´m just saying you seem to see things very much in black and white. He is with the players in training every day. He clearly feels it is best for the club at this moment to stick with Kuyt and sometimes Voronin. And because we dont know everything he knows, simply because we are not in a position to, it is rather rash to dismiss Rafas decisions as clearly wrong.Originally posted by Nic83 View PostHe's had plenty of time to realise it hasn't been working and still persists so it's not exacly hindsight.
Are you seriously telling me that you don't think he is wrong to persist with Kuyt and Voronin or leave Gerrard on corners? That what it sounds like to me.
And on your question.
I would personally like to see someone else be given a go instead of Kuyt. But my suspicion is that we dont have another player who creates as much space for others and who works as hard tiering the defender and making life hard for them. I know Torres can do it, I know Crouch does not. Babel did not do very well in the striker role, and none of the youngsters are ready. ( Jordy Brouwer is close though IMHO )

I love Robbie Fowler to bits mate but Voronin can do a hell of a lot more for the team now than Robbie and that my friend is a fact.
You don't mind Kuyt or Voronin up front on their own so much, they where donkeys a few minutes ago.
How many games have Kuyt and Voronin started up front as and attacking partnership?

Supueb postOriginally posted by Armchairkopite View PostSupport your team. The lack of football knowledge from certain Liverpool supporters is alarming to say the least, to say we where once the most knowledgeable group of supporters and we have come to this is very disappointing indeed. Stupid flippant comments being made by an increasing number of Liverpool fans are creating a lot of negativity around the team and this is a very unhealthy situation. We must get behind our team 100% we cannot expect No.19 to fall into our laps we are going to have to WORK for it. The media will not help us of that you can be assured we need to analyse the situation more before we start moaning about the team. This Rafa baiting is preposterous he has spent wisely, he has won a European cup and our squad is improving all the time.
We are still in the hunt although playing badly with a limited squad due to injuries.
Imo Rafa has signed potential World-class players such as Agger, Reina, Alonso, Marsharano, Torres and Lucas all of which we probably wouldn't have only for him.
We need Rafa more than he needs us, that my friends are a fact.

I believe the earlier posts alluded to the fact that we are not playing well at the moment, due to form and confidence, that is not in dispute; however, both form and confidence are temporary. Unlike football manager, bringing in several new faces will not be the panacea to recent dip in form.Originally posted by Svennis View PostSo closing your eyes of the problems in the team means you are knowledgeable supporter?
Unfortunately, too many people are buying into the media hyperbole; rotation is the problem, zonal marking, playing Gerrard on the right, the list goes on. We are still in relatively strong position especially in comparison to recent season starts; two confident performances at home could change the course of the season. The international break will allow us time to get some key personnel back. By the time of the United game, we could be in the position to overtake them or at least be three points behind with a game in hand.
Therefore, while I recognise that we are not currently playing to our optimum, we are only 11 games into a season, unbeaten in the league, with key personnel to come back and entering a period which recent history tells us is our strongest.
