Listen, before you go on calling me a stupid fool please tell me where in my post I was referring to your original statement. I was speaking generally, because if you've been on these forums of late there have been several posters who claim that those fans who are critical, are not real fans and should support another team.

the team suffered a loss of form quite a while ago and it is alarming to see that they've failed to regain at least some form. you can point to the injuries we have but honestly mate that's not an excuse cause our squad should be big enough and most of all good enough to cope with this situation. i now voice my concerns cause it's been a while since our last decent performance so it's hardly a knee-jerk reaction anymore. things have to improve and they have to improve quickly otherwise we're too far off the pace once again come xmas.
there's a big difference between calling for the gaffer's head and complaining about the way we play. the former is idiotic the latter is imho justified.

But people say we are playing crap without taking into account the reasons for it. If you examine the reasons you will realize that they are significant and TEMPORARY.

So closing your eyes of the problems in the team means you are knowledgeable supporter?

Grow up. No-one has their eyes closed. No one thinks that there are not problems. We can all see that. It's just that some rather than just start whinging and getting depressed, try to work out why things are bad, once they've done that they see that the resolution to the problems is quite simple.

If there is any ignorance around here, it's that of those that refuse to acknowledge that the situation is temporary and is caused by some very simple issues (injuries, form, etc).

Donks well Voronin actually looked quite decent for his first few games and Kuyt is no donk either, was Rafa wrong to tryy Voronin and Kuyt together a few times?

I remember in hist first year here rafa said that he was going to spend the first 15 games working out what his best combinations we're (it was in the context of settling on Djimi and Riise for the LH side).

I think the same thing is happening now, he's trying all the combinations to see what works best in each type of game.

I'm sure the longer we go, the better his use of strikers will be based on what he is learning now.

BTW In what games was the crow crap. You're making sweeping statements about his form dropping off, but relative to the rest of the team he has been as good if not better than the others. The last few games, he has either gotten NO service or has been played out of position. Is that because he is crap or is there another reason?

Are you suggesting that before the players leave the dressing room around kick off time, Rafa's pulls them back and says, "hang on lads, i know you've got your instructions and had your pep talk for the game ahead but we must check the est1892 forum first for any last minute advice and inspiration"? and then presumably, when there's some negative stuff, rafa has a sulk and all the players go out and play **** because they've been offended at Rashid's analysis of the previous match?? Give them some credit FFS!
If there's one place that the fans should be able to vent spleen it's on a forum like this. Better to get the anger out here than at the game.

The media pick up on the vibes from the forums and 606. Journalists are already asking Rafa direct questions about this.

I agree mate. Every single one of us support the lads when we're there at the game. I've been to matches with many reds on these forums (some of who are critical of the team at the moment - like myself) and all of them are as vocal in their support as those who weirdly refuse to find fault with anything to do with LFC.

I don't want Rafa sacked now...only a fool would want him gone tomorrow but I see absolutely f*ck all wrong with being critical of the players and manager on an internet forum, especially when in my opinion some of the criticism is justified.

I'll gladly deck anyone here who ever tells me I'm no fan because I'm critical of a performance by a player or the team in general

We all agree, the issue is with those that make overly emotive judgements with no real basis in reality.

Face it no one with a modicum of sense would be pushing for Rafa to be sacked. Those who raise doubts and questions, I respect. Those who say we're crap sack rafa, they are the ones we need to treat with contempt. I think the problem is that the two of them tend to get lumped together.

Most people don't differentiate between, for eg, DS and Rashid, that's why the discussion gets so heated.
