As for giving those two £150m between them - what a tragedy that is. These two *******s come over here - **** with our club, our manager and generally cause chaos and then walk away with £75m each.

Jesus, they'll be teaching that as a takeover model at the London School of Economics under the heading - just plain lucky.
This is a company that has a couple of trillion available to invest in different ventures.

When Gillett and Hicks bought us we were well undervalued considering the extra income a new stadium and better marketing would generate.

If this goes ahead expect to see the name 'Dubai' on the new stadium somewhere.

Not sure what pressure Parry & Moores can put on them, I'm not even convinced about this legal documentation although that would be extremely helpful

Both sides are playing games in the media, theres no way of calling this either way

IF it does happen I dont foresse many people complaining about DIC 12 months down the line anyway

So do you think Hicks by saying he doesn't want to sell is trying to get the best price possible and wants out??

Best bet is that we protest against them to the max on Monday so they know they aren't wanted and that there is no point of them continuing with their investment

True also LFC fans love moaning

Thommo said we have the wrong owners and DIC are back in for the club.

Al answari is personally on very good terms with Rick Parry. Unfortunately for Parry, DIC aren't that impressed with him as an executive. Total clear-out top to bottome will be the order of the day. May even include the manager - though that last part is pure speculation.

Thommo should poke out Hicks's eyes with his nose

The thing that makes me feel positive is that Hicks is fundermentally a leverage buyout specialist, his aim in life is to make money and he has a chance here to make $150m after 1 year of doing pretty much nothing. It will be very hard for him to refuse that profit, if true. Going on with the club is a gamble, esp the way they need to do things so this could be great news.

Parry was paid a bonus of £500k last year, I doubt he'll take it to heart. At least he's hopefully trying to do the right thing now.

Tom do you know any more on what's going on?

on a side issue, one of the papers is today running a story that in 3 years the new TV deal may include that every team plays one game a season outside of the UK.

I hope so, no businessman worth his salt would show his hand before a bid came in

I think the fans should do what RTK have suggested

It would take him a long time to get a £75m profit on us if they don't sell us.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So as a season ticket holder (ok share it with my bro) there will be 1 less game a season to go.

Another poster on here stated the reason DIC want Liverpool is as a vehicle to promote Dubai as a tourist destination. They see tourism as a vital revenue stream especially when the oil runs out. There is probably no value you could put on this. So 500m could seem like money well spent to DIC.
                              Dare we believe

It's touch and go. Could really go either way but I haven't heard anything for a couple of days.
It really depends own whether Hicks thinks the short-term profit he'll gain from the buy out, is a better bet than any long term profit projections he has for his crafty schemes with the club. If it's the latter then he wont sell. Simple as really. Hicks couldn't give a monkeys about not being popular. He's loathed in all the sports "franchises" he owns. I even think hre revels in it.
