Apparently, some Arabic media companies are reporting that Hicks himself is the one who invited DIC to make this bid.

IMO, we need to make this a major story on Sky and all the others before the Monday game. The owners need to see their name in tatters outside Anfield. We need to see fans being interviewd by the press all saying that the Americans were a major cock up but all would be well if the Arabs came along and backed Rafa, banners hanging from the Shankly gates etc.

The message needs to be so loud and clear that contemplating holding onto the club is just too unattractive an option.

It's not that much of a leap to realise that unless he raises these issues in public he has no hope of completing the project he started. He also realises this is probably the only club that will allow him to build a dynasty in the way Wenger has done.

Wouldn't surprise me. I bet he got approval the loan, which gave him a stronger position to negotiate. Then made the Klinsmann revelation in order to deliberately create an untenable situation for both he and Gillett. He wants to sell, but obviously for a profit. Once he got the loan approved he wanted out. DIC now have to bid higher though because they do not have to sell.

Sounds ridiculous but it wouldn't surprise me.

Sorry mate. It is clear that Rafa saw these pricks for what they were a long time ago. He called it out in his speech in Athens IMO. That was resolved temporarily but when they obviously went back on promises again in November he brought it out in public.

I think there is every chance Rafa has played a blinder, their position is untenable because of actions he took, regardless of whether it would cost him his job. He is determined ****er is our Rafa. More importantly, when it comes to playing games in the press he is the best I have seen.
