Get a rent a crowd outside the stadium...that gets the news channels there.Originally posted by StevieJ View PostIMO, we need to make this a major story on Sky and all the others before the Monday game. The owners need to see their name in tatters outside Anfield. We need to see fans being interviewd by the press all saying that the Americans were a major cock up but all would be well if the Arabs came along and backed Rafa, banners hanging from the Shankly gates etc.
The message needs to be so loud and clear that contemplating holding onto the club is just too unattractive an option.Quit your jibber jabber!!!

Imagine you are in Rafa's position back in November:Originally posted by carrsim View Postto be honest if he was that smart he'd be in melwood in a big leather chair, stroking a white cat and laughing one of those evil movie laughs....and we'd be 15 points clear.
he has looked quite smugly satisfied in the more recent interviews though
You learn of the JK approach - that means only one thing, you're out of a job by the end of the season at the very latest.
You have probably also learnt that finance problems are around the corner.
Moores and Parry are also probably concerned about debt on the club.
You know the vast bulk of fans support you.
It's not that much of a leap to realise that unless he raises these issues in public he has no hope of completing the project he started. He also realises this is probably the only club that will allow him to build a dynasty in the way Wenger has done.

Wouldn't surprise me. I bet he got approval the loan, which gave him a stronger position to negotiate. Then made the Klinsmann revelation in order to deliberately create an untenable situation for both he and Gillett. He wants to sell, but obviously for a profit. Once he got the loan approved he wanted out. DIC now have to bid higher though because they do not have to sell.Originally posted by DJS View PostApparently, some Arabic media companies are reporting that Hicks himself is the one who invited DIC to make this bid.
Sounds ridiculous but it wouldn't surprise me.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Or alternatively he could get sacked. Rafa is a football man. Nothing more.Originally posted by StevieJ View PostIt's not that much of a leap to realise that unless he raises these issues in public he has no hope of completing the project he started. You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.

We need to make sure there are some pre printed banners as well to make sure it looks like it is on the spur of the moment.Originally posted by saveferris View PostGet a rent a crowd outside the stadium...that gets the news channels there.
A couple of dummies to represnt them wouldn't go a miss so we can burn them.

not that ridiculous mate.... would seem like good business and a stronger bargaining position to be honest...
like buying a site for a house, if planning is approved the land is worth more
me thinks
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

i never suggested we burn the american flags although im sure that would get sky there.
I remember when stevie was about to join chelsea and sky got some little kid to burn a liverpool shirt with Gerrard's name on the back outside anfield. It was so staged you could see the garment tags on the shirt that they'd bought from the club shop.!!!
But it did get their attention.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

i think H&G will turn it down, 500 million now for the club, i reckon they'll either try to jack it up or wait untill the summer next year to try and up the price...
i dont have a good feeling about this sadly..."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

Sorry mate. It is clear that Rafa saw these pricks for what they were a long time ago. He called it out in his speech in Athens IMO. That was resolved temporarily but when they obviously went back on promises again in November he brought it out in public.Originally posted by Kilteragh View PostI love Rafa mate but it's a bit of a stretch to give him credit for orchestrating an international takeover of the club. Rafa just wanted more money for players. End of
I think there is every chance Rafa has played a blinder, their position is untenable because of actions he took, regardless of whether it would cost him his job. He is determined ****er is our Rafa. More importantly, when it comes to playing games in the press he is the best I have seen.
