Rumour has it that the sticking point in this deal is whether Hicks can get a refund on the $10 he handed over as a downpayment on a non-existent book book called 'Anfield Exposed'.

The longer this goes on the more confident I get. DIC's silence tells me all I need to know. No sign of an official statement from the club to deny it. Everything points at the takeover. I just hope it does not drag on for too long. Anyone got any idea if due diligence needs to take place again or is taking place as we speak?

Hi Guys I don’t often post much but I really hope we can see the back of these Americans as soon as possible.

They came into the club filled with empty promises which most of us the club included fell for. Well let’s face it what they were promising was pretty good from a fans point of view, However the board on the other hand being professional business men should of done their home work and dug about in both these jokers past. For me there are 2 massive Alarms that should have been ringing which were

1 Gillett was declared Bankrupt in 1992
2 Tom Hicks has a history of buying into teams and doing **** all with them.

However the latest news of Hicks attempt to buy the Brazilian team Corinthians and then basically bankrupt it and sell it cheap to MSI should have been enough to say thanks but no thanks as I am sure this info was available to them 12 months ago

I am not of the opinion that Moore's sold us down the river as I am sure he is now pig sick of the thought of what is happening at the club, However I feel Rick Parry is the one who hold most of the responsibility as it was he who brought these guys to the table.

I will admit that when DIC left the table last year I was fuming and just thought it was typical of our board to let the richest people in the world go and sell to two planks.

However I myself was fooled by their PR campaign of Snoogy doogy and the stadium design But after Rafa's Comments post Athens I started to smell a rat as I am sure allot of us did.

What must Peter Robinson be thinking knowing everything he has spent his life building up as CEO of our club is quickly being destroyed within 12 months?

I just feel so embarrassed at the moment knowing we are the laughing stock of European football and I know for a fact the other end of the M62.

Let’s face it if DIC don’t buy us now they are gone for good and its only a matter of time before the Mancs reach NO 19 as if we still have these two in charge the 90's will seem like a really good period for our club.

This Dept on the club will cripple us as we cannot pay the interests of £30 to £40 million a year when we only make say £30 profit. I fear the rest will be made up from player sales. For example Chelsea say to Hicks here is £30m for Gerrard they will bite their hands of as that will be £30m either in their own pockets or a year interest paid in one go.

Someone posted earlier that they are mad but they cannot imagine what it must be like to be a born and bread scouser and a red. Well I can tell you now that this is the most depressing time for me since I have been supporting the club all my life. I don’t have a ticket for the game tomorrow but I am driving 200 miles from down south (where I now live) just to march at Anfield then driving back for work on Tuesday.
Someone also posted on another forum that £15m of last season Champions League money went right into H&G back pocket which if so is proof that all along they just wanted on the Premiership gravy train

If G&H stays then the best case scenario is IMO that we will be a mid-table team. Even if the new stadium will increase our revenue then the club won't see that money anyway.

that alone should have given any half decent CEO something to worry about. Due diligence simply cannot be completed in 3 days. Its nothing more than a cursory look over the books. How can you take someone seriously who has such a relaxed attitude towards the figures ?

It can happen... there was a massive banking takeover last year and the buyer did no due diligence on the books of the buyout target, other than what was available publically, because it made the takeover significantly cheaper, and believe me that was a much bigger buyout than of Liverpool (basically they bought cheap options on the shares of their target and if they had done confidential due diligence then they would have likely breached the insider trading regulations).

That's the main reason to why G&H own the club IMO. Parry probably thought that he did a clever move to save his job but I don't think he could imagine that we would be in this situation almost a year later and that is why he now acts to save the club.

They are building Dubai to be the Paradise on earth. They get the companies to move there, the rich people have a house there, people want to see the Paradise on earth.
