unless they feel like exchanging him for fabregas.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Nothing would surpise me with that clown Parry in charge of transfers.

As I would like to say again....I can't believe people are falling for this.

Under Rafa any player will play 3 positions nothing new there ask...Torres, Babel, Kyut, Keane, Gerrard, Alonso, Carra all of our players..

its the other bit that interests me - 'we will need 8 british players'. since when? what constitutes a British player? when will we need this for if at all true, this season, next, the one after?

              clutching at straws i think

My suspicion is that the PL or FA, whoever has done a deal to introduce the European competition rules to the PL. That would head off the daft FIFA plans while also getting the spirit of the idea through - but considering we already compete well in the UEFA competitions shouldn't be seen to harm any of our clubs.

Is it not more to do with 8 "Homegrown" players ie players who, regardless of nationality, were trained for 3 years before the age of 21 in the league with which they are competing? Aren't UEFA introducing this at the moment?

I just think Rafa is using 'British players' as a shorthand for what is defined there as homegrown players to be honest.

they are trying to introduce it. it will never ( and should never ) happen due to some human rights law about stopping foreigners working or something like that. either way, this law was only mentioned as coming into effect from 2011 onwards. by then, barry will be 31 going on 32 and prob wouldn't be a first teamer anyway. ****e excuse from rafa.

so from our squad our 8 would be? carra, gerrard err....

can't see how this can be as both utd and arsenal would also struggle.

Instead of rafa explaining why he can sell alonso maybe he should be explaining why he bought lucas for our already packed midfield instead.
