Johnny, forget RTE, all they'll say is not good enough will fail later in the season, only scraping wins etc. However I 'll be watching it as well.

Came home, opened a tin of Heineken and switched on my computer.

**** me,two goals in 8 minutes to win and go top of the league.
Now I`m having a GREAT evening.
I was working til 4.30, i text my mate(chelsea fan) to see what the score was, at that time it was 0-0...i wasn't happy, knew Boro wouldn't be easy but i thought we'd be a goal or two up, he text back 2 minutes later to say Mido has scored, i was ****ing livid. I asked him what the final score was and he replied 'jammy scouse cunts, 2-1, Gerrard in the 94th minute'.
      ****ing buzzing.
Gonna have a few harp now and watch the highlights on football first

You know what? Today is a good argument for home grown (easy Shaggy)

It really does highlight the need for a local spine to a team. The incentive of losing the title of "most decorated English team" obviously means something to a select few, more than others.

Hence captaincy and vice captaincy roles perhaps?

Was at the game today and I was so relieved at the end, the KOP went crazy and I spilled everything - well in Gerrard. It doesn't mask the fact though that Gerrard and Alonso were poor today as they were under so much pressure - largely due to us having the poorest wide men in LFC history. Can you really say Dirk and Benayoun are an improvement on say Barmby and Berger? Or Smicer and Berger? Or even Cisse and Garcia? or Garcia and Kewell? That was painful to watch today, even the itter ****e Downing looked better than them. We made Boro look everybit as good us as today and it was not good to see... onwards and upwards though - we can still improve, 6 pints so far in the bag and we are playing ****e.

Im getting fed up with the way we're always falling over looking for free kicks - Torres and Gerrard being the main offenders.
It slows things down - at least half the time we dont get the free kick and lose possession - and i find it embarassing too.

More generally I think the encouraging sign today was that there was no settling for the draw when we got the equalizer. I dont think we'd have gone so "gung ho" last year. Half of those draws become victories and who knows..

I think you make a fair point for once! I'm not sure how long Rafa will persist with 442 now that the Olympic boys are back, at present our wide men are very poor at giving us width. Kuyt and Yossi would work a lot better in the 4231.

I don't think Robbie Keane is very good playing deep, he is a support striker but plays much closer to the front man. In my mind he is far too slow to play on the right or left. I love Keane but I wish we had of spent the money we spent on Keane on a winger and left Gerrard where he was.

So for the knee jerkers it must mean betweeen us and Chelsea, with both United and Arsenal both playing ***** and losing points. Sack Wenger!!!

While it is true that we did not play well yesterday, the voices of negativity are a bit too loud. The start of the season is when the difference of quality between sides are minimal, and usually top sides don't perform to the best of their abilities at this point.

What is most important is winning, and we had character to come back from a very bad situation and grab 3 undeserved points. This is a game we would have most certainly drawn or lost last season, and when the mancs or Chelsea do the same thing, the critics call it "Championship material performance".

Yes, improvement needs to be made and it should come with a signing or two, but right now there is no need to panic. 6 points from 6 points is a very good start.
