To be fair, how many premiership games is he going to get now? Not many I'd guess

He could have moved to Stoke and kept on playing. Deserved to be treated with a bit of honesty and respect

bang on im amazed people cant see this maybe more and more like an argument these days

I doubt Rafa is just to blame on this. Could be Parry too. The treatment of Riise is totally different
Riise was sold and knew he was to be sold?? So why was he in the press saying that Rafa had told him nothing, he didn't know where his future lay etc...there was a whole thread on it, with some people saying that he deserves to be treated with respect after years of service and commitment, and many others stating that Rafa has a right to be ruthless...but because it's JAR, and he was the CL scapegoat, not many people cared.

But now that Rafa has shown the same ruthlessness with Sami, people decide to get on their high horses about it?? One rule for one, one for others??

sami's done more for the club than riise ever did and therefore deserves to be treated better.

Yes, he did deserve to be treated better. However, he should keep quiet as talking out helps no body and does his reputation as a model professional no good at all.

What bull**** reasoning is that? Riise gave his all for the club, as much as Sami did. Yet because Riise is a scapegoat for fan fury, Rafa can treat him as he pleases?? Yet Sami...no, he must be treated with utmost repsect, cos you happen to like him as a player? Well, so do i, and i see nothing wrong with what's been done. Rafa never guaranteed him CL football, Sami never asked to leave and Rafa had the grace to inform Sami of his decision rather than letting him read about it in a paper....yes, after the transfer window...but also after Sami had said he didn't want to leave, would play when he was told and was happy to do so.

Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

must be difficult having to defend rafa everywhere eh scratch?

gonna have to speak to your mrs so that next time she puts the lumpy gravy on your plate she can tell you its rafa's own secret recipe. stop you ranting

all our players should be treated with respect, riise was sold and is not our player anymore. listen when i sack some turd who works for me i don't give a **** how he feels. but when i sideline someone from one project who remains in my employment i speak to him first and also make sure he knows that his day will come. its called man management, something rafa is poor at.

Nah, but it is difficult trying to reason with someone who can't actually grasp simple facts, and instead blindly clings to his anti-rafa policy whether the facts back him or not...but i can't just sit here and watch, cos sooner or later some poor sap gets taken in and starts quoting the ****e you come out with as fact, so i have to provide counter points...but this thread is about the fact that Sami and Riise both got treated the same, but whereas Riise's treatment was greeted with an indifferent shrug of the shoulders, Sami's mistreatment is cause for the anti-rafa ****s to have a go.

Riise was our player at the time, and was still getting no respect, neither from Rafa or from some of the so-called fans on this website. So why should Hyypia be a special case, that's my question. Why is it fine for Rafa to leave Riise hanging and not Sami?? Is it just because you like Sami, but not Riise?

Sami is a liverpool legend, one of our best CBs ever. Riise is someone who played for liverpool. Sami deserves respect for what he has done on the pitch, a world class player and an occasional captain. Riise wasn't good enough while he is still in his prime. Sami has given us the best part of his career and this may well be his last season at the top. The 2 players provide very different scenarios.

                        Congratulations

I would of hoped that you may have thought about how that transfer affected Rafa's plan's.:bird:

Do they ****...both were/are liverpool players, both gave/give their all and both deserve the same amount of respect, regardless of their abilities on the pitch. You're deluded if you think otherwise.

Cant believe you're comparing Hyypia who has consistently performed well with Riise whose been anything but consistent in his time here. Yeah Riise didnt know whether he was staying or not. Hyypia.....well a bid was rejected because apparently he was an important player. The next day he is told he aint in the Champions League squad.

I cant se him playing much in the Prem, so you have no problem with that sequence of events? My, the lengths people go to, to defend the indefensible
