Yossi did well when he came on, great play for our third goal

Having seen the second half three times now, I feel I have to point out that Yossi lost the ball that led to the hoofball from which Skrtl was injured.

we got out of jail today. chuffed to bits and now off to bed. happy to admit i got it wrong at half time and look forward to being made to eat my words when kuyt scores a hattrick and we win the title.

BUT this site is turning into a circus where the focus seems to be on criticising posters such as rashid, sarb, craig or me instead of debating the validity or otherwise of our arguments. some dickhead even opened a thread about what my response to today was. i'd have replied but i was too busy celebrating.

You deserve the criticism because you talk so much out of your arse sometimes. Lol at the way you take credit for 'allegedly' saying that we needed to be more positive and attack and we were too negative (well Rafa ) etc ... blah blah

It's so easy to come out trumps with statements like that when you've doubted Rafa and wanted him to be sacked.

rafa clearly has one over the likes of me here. i always thought football was played over 90 mins, rafa's approach seems to be simply beating the team over the second 45 mins. clearly worked today, even though we were playing catch up.
I recall under Shanks, we used to get called Lucky Liverpool because so many of our winners came in the last 10 minutes. I did hear that Shanks response, although I have never seen it published since, was along the lines of..."The Liverpool team are lucky they are so fit, or I'd be working them a lot bloody harder". His published comments were of course

"Its a 90 minute game for sure. In fact I used to train for 180 minutes so when the whistle blew at the end of the match I could have played for another 90 minutes."

Utd lost to City last year and won the league and if we do bring home number 19 this year then there will still be some days where things go wrong and we may lose or draw. Being a supporter means that you stay positive throughout while the team is still giving 100%. If that application isn't there then you have every justification to moan like ****.

I think the reason you get so much stick sometimes mate is that it appears that you're waiting in the wings to be 'proved right' when things don't go well which drives people to despair especially when we all have the same emotions when it looks like we might be dropping points.

This is a valid point and one that crossed my mind. I can see where rage is coming from about the "make them worry about us and not us them" attitude, but rage does seem to be waiting for the team (or appears to be) to slip up so he can gloat, I may be wrong tho, I normally am.

I agree with a lot of that post especially the bold, deifnitely agree with the underlined bit

Seriously though I agree Rafa prefers to set out a team that will be very strong in defence whilst still attacking, just not all out attack. IMO he backs himself to work out the opposition in the first half then instruct the team how to go about dismantling them.

He doing ok at the minute as well.

Well if we keep getting results and I am being entertained I am more than happy, don't think the plan was to give them a two goal head start, and doubt we will be able to come back from too many of those. Bearing this in mind though, I'd wait for the full time whistle before going off on one.

                  Halfway through a game thread

I have many opinions on a large number of LFC issues as I am sure you do too. When the game is on nothing else matters, nothing.

I had a fellow Red and a Hammers supporter watching the game with me. I had a bit of giggle watching the Hammers game and apoligised.

Half time in our game he got up for a slash and patted me on the back and said

"Don't worry mate, I know how it feels" with a stupid **** eating grin on his face. My reply came quickly

"No you don't because you lost. This is Liverpool Dickhead, we invented comebacks."

Best 45 minutes of football since that FA cup final, against West Ham ironically.

Means you support I see rage et al as the ones who kick the team when they are down, the ones that leave at half time In Istanbul. the ones that only sing when we are winning.

No team is perfect, specially not ours.....but we are getting there and with our legendary support that can carry us to number 19. I would love the last few games of the season to truly mean something sure our 12th man would carry us home

Lads put your hand bags away and let em share something beautiful but dangerous with you - I think you'll be nursing semi's the way I was when Kuyt's goal went in after I tell you this.
I was at the game and sat with loadsa heavyweight-looking die-hard type city fans yesterday (alone), I kinda controlled my emotions when Torres scored but when Dirk's goal went in I just couldn't help it - I jumped and somehow didn't shout and just ran out of an exit (I was sat next to it) and celebreated with a steward (liverpool fan), the guy (big skin head, rougher than a dog's dinner) in front of me turned round as though he wanted to belt me one along with his mates as I said 'left foot, left foot' when Yossi pulled it back to Torres and Im sure he must have got up to go for me but I was too quick down the stairs of the exit by the time it had gone and I came back up another exit and sat down and looked about 20 meters to my left and about 5 of them were looking around for me - I had a hoodie on so put me hood up and it was (although frightening) so funny trying to hide my emotions and not get seen by these lot that I just had to share it with you.
I felt like I was about 8 years old getting chased - some might think it's sad but walking out with the biggest grin on me face was priceless.
                      Thanks

I imagine it was a great game to be there for. Sitting with the Citeh fans may well have been a tactical error though.

not in the habit of leaving early and IF all i ever did was kick the team when their down then tens of thousands like me would stop going to the games.

i support the team and will still support the team when the likes of rafa are long gone.

i still want rafa to be sacked. i think we won yesterday inspite of him. I do not rate him as a premier league winning manager and i feel that if he does not deliver the title after 5 years he will be sacked.

meanwhile you are the type of person that will never have a bad word said about him.

when i get it wrong i put my hands up but at least I'm a man who is capable of forming his own opinions. tell me fredo have you ever disagreed with something rafa has done?
