The only negative for me, was that our heads dropped after they went ahead and we stopped battling. This only lasted for 20-25 mins though and it didnt continue into the 2nd half.Originally posted by nbryan1764 View PostI agree, but seriously, what were the negatives yesterday? How far do you go to assess the negatives? I look at the result on the whole, then the performance. If we win then we win simple as, if we don't but have played well then it can be palletable. After then then its doom but it doesn't tend to happen that often.

thats a fair point and if it had stopped us winning the game then it would have been a huge negative as it would suggest we didnt have the balls for the fight. However, we proved we did and that is, to me, a huge positive.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThe only negative for me, was that our heads dropped after they went ahead and we stopped battling. I think yesterday, the ratio from positive to negative (where the match was concerned) was about 75% positive, 25% negative.Originally posted by REDrascal View PostI see that happen on here every day, there are always things we can do better, the same go's for every team, but it's the dwelling on and exaggeration of the negatives that gets most pissed off....imo.
I do think that the emphasis on negativity from yesterday has been more than 25% so in this respect, i agree with you.

I totally agree mate, hence my thread 'Rafa Benitez'. The worry is that even during the 20-25 minute spell, on another day, it could easily have lead to a 3rd City goal and that's a concern. As long as it only happens rarely, it's not a problem, as it can happen to anyone. And yes, to come back and win was a massive positive and nobody can be anything but hugely impressed by it.Originally posted by nbryan1764 View Postthats a fair point and if it had stopped us winning the game then it would have been a huge negative as it would suggest we didnt have the balls for the fight. Fully agree Laz.Originally posted by Laz View PostPersonally, at 2-0 down I was urging the team on and kicking every ball as if I was on the pitch myself. Not once in 90 (+7) minutes did it occur to me to pour scorn on Kuyt or call for Rafa's head because, during the game, the team can do without that kind of support.

Post match celebration thread, we just had a fantastic game of football, positive football, great response from the players and the manager after going two-nil down, great goals.
Still posters manage to turn this into a negative thing, spouting **** like the manager should still be sacked, some players are ****e and not fit to wear the jersey, tactics was all wrong, we are lucky, the manager thinks a game is only played over 45 mins, saying Rafa must learn from our second half display (WTF!), Rafas game plan failed, etc etc. Turns this thread into something negative, and it gets annoying to read, just as about every thread on here lately. Attacking posters who try to be positive with things like head in the sand, know nothing about football, don't have opinions of their own.
**** me sideways this site is nothing like it used to be, IMO. I used to enjoy reading great discussions on matters of our beautiful game that is football, even tried to contribute lately, even though the language barrier hampers me sometimes.
I enjoy a good discussion, and these boards would be nothing without it, just as it will soon descend into nothingness if these negative posters are allowed to spout the same **** over and over and over and over again in every single thread in here.
I don't know what to do about it, maybe it's just me feeling this way I have no idea, but I know I will not visit as often if this **** continues.
My two pennies worth, thanks, guess I will get lambasted for this but that's ok.

True and I didn't mean to suggest that they were. I can get just as animated while watching the game on TV. Possibly more so as you can see a pattern of play or opportunity appear in more detail than you can at the game. Depending where you're sat of course.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostFully agree Laz.

meanwhile you are the type of person that will never have a bad word said about him.
when i get it wrong i put my hands up but at least I'm a man who is capable of forming his own opinions. tell me fredo have you ever disagreed with something rafa has done?
Comments like that are why most people on here think you are a muppet
and just shows how little you really understand the game
Dare we believe

We could also have been 1-0 up, arbeloa cleared properly and Ireland arriving late, garrido not scoring the goal of his career could all have made it a different game.
No team plans to conceed goals but it happens against good sides. Ffs why don't people give our players and boss a bit of slack???
