I would say having an agenda would be when you consistantly push those beliefs on others - whatever the personal motivation for these actions may be.

this isnt an attack on you bobbyfallon cos I know that this answer is what most of these sack rafa types would say

      Maureen????

The same Maureen that was sacked a few games in last season - tell me why he was sacked if hes so good .

He won with porto and it later turns out that all the refs were bribed .

he bought the league with chelsea - overpaid massivly for questionable players and look at how many players have followed him to inter.

So what your saying is that you want to buy the league like Chelsea did - how many chavs now feel hollow because of the way they won? ask them

This is why I asked , so that people could really show their true knowledge and colours.

lets not buy the league - lets build a team , a style of play , lets be competitive and not expecting to win every game - thats what this beautiful game is about

Really silly post. 'Why was he sacked if he was so good' - that's so incredibly naive. He also won the league 2 years on the bounce. He was sacked for non footballing reasons and that's obvious to anyone.

Everyone 'buys' the league. It's time to face facts and be realistic.

I'd take it a step further and say if you have an agenda that is to get Rafa sacked, then that is fine. If you want to post negative stuff that is fine too. But when you make up stuff, misrepresent facts and then refuse to debate when called on such, then that is where the problem is.

Unfortunately, we had a lot of that go on a few months back, we did not address it and hence the well was poisoned and relationships between posters deteriorated and people were, as dww has pointed out, forced into polarized positions, the effects of which we see today.

I guess it's going to come down to what kind of board the mods want this to be and then to moderate towards that model.

i also agree maureen is the best bet were rafa to go.

but i dont see it as much of an improvement hence i want rafa to stay and continue to build what he's building - a club - this is why its taking time.

anyone else would be a short term fix or atake us backwards imho.

                Rafa's definitely getting it right.

Even just the signing of Albert shows he's getting it right. This season, as short as it's been, has been the first season that I've thought Rafa could actually win the title. Not necessarily this year, but he's making progress and learning his lessons.
He'll always make baffling substitutions, he'll always rotate his players at bizarre times, but he is making real progress and I think we're going to win the league in the next 3 seasons (including this). This obviously depends on Citeh not buying up all the players in the world. Everything being equal, I think we're going to do it with Rafa in charge.

Sack him now and we start from scratch basically.

Mourinho couldn't do it in my opinion. I've changed my view on that in the last few months, I thought he could do it, but I think Rafa is our best hope of winning the league in the next 3 years. Unless Bill gates and Warren Buffet get together and buy us.

                    even then, who'd replace him?

i agree and i wouldnt want anyone to take over. this is rafa's squad and whilst he won't have all his first choices, he should be given the time to take it as far as he can. someone said that as long as he's imrproving and getting us closer points wise season by seaon then he can have as long as it takes. simple as that really isnt it.

Maureen is scum and he can **** right off.

Besides, he's overrated. A nobody took over when Chelsea were doing **** and got them back in the title race and to the CL final. It was the team not the man. Which wasn't down to canny buying, it was down to the insane budget.

Yeah, he's really ****ing awesome, he bought titles, well done.

thankyou - there are too many championship manager players here and most of them using the unlimited cash cheat by the looks of it .

I would much rather this current trend of improvement continues and we can challenge every year than win it once and go bankrupt .

A problem in recent years was rotation for the fact that we did not have quality to rotate with - that is not rafas fault.
This year the bench looks awesome and we have more than 11 potential starters.

It is also amazing to think that wenger has only won the title twice in 12 years - yet you hear no complaints because he never tried to "buy" the league and tries to do things the right way.

Mourinho is a top class manager. As much as people hate him, you can't deny that

Why was rotation not Rafa's fault? If we didn't have the quality why were we rotating in sub-standard players at a whim? To be honest I find that a bit comical. Of course the lack of quality is partly down to Rafa as well. He's spent considerable amounts on average players.

He's been here long enough to have put his mark on the reserves and youth system yet no one is getting promoted out of it and playing consistently. If they were then maybe we would not have had to rotate in sub-standard players ( a lot of which he bought as well)

It's all swings and roundabouts. He's not had as much money to spend as Mourinho or Fergie (probably). Neither has Wenger. But arguably Wenger has bought in a lot more quality from his youth ranks and had a team closer to winning the title than Rafa has had previously.

Rafa is a class act. No doubt about it. But I think he's made some questionable decisions/investments in the past also. And it can't all be blamed on a lack of money
