No doubt it is tougher this season but Chelsea will win tomorrow. Cert.

The problem we have is that had we played our strongest side we would have won today. But we left out star players when their was no need even when we were chasing the game. Players like Benayoun are starting games when they shouldnt be and Kuyt was playing as a lone striker. That is just madness

Scum draw so we can forget all about our bad subs and lack of goal scoring!

Next up the Hammers who I think have been going reasonably good guns of late playing at Stamford bridge where chelsea have been less than convincing ... who knows .. stranger things have happened

Hull turned over Spurs, Arsenal away, scored 3 against Manu at oldtoilet .. they are no push overs .. they gave us a good game ... We are in good shape .. Chelsea will drop a lot of points in this race ..there are literally no easy games this season

If we actually don't lose ground this weekend I think I'd piss myself.

Expect Chelsea to take the top spot off u but hopefully that's the kick up the arse we clearly need

Forget it, the leagues gone...I know were top, but Chelesea will hammer the 'ammers tomorrow.......8 points to 4 sh!te ****es at home. Raffa has a terrible negative streak and needs to lose it, we needed Keane an Balle on, not lucas and Kyut, and even Benny.

This is gonna cost us the legaue big time, and have to say, can't see us winning it under Raffa. This loss of wins at home is alarming to say the least...I'm really p!ssed off today, a great chance to go 4 clear and we blow it.......Raffa needs a slap big time!

What a ****en load of ****e that is. We won't be top for long and I sincerely doubt we'll be in the number 1 spot at anytime again this season.

What the **** was that by the manager? Spend 31m on two attaking players and give them a combined 10mn to try to infleunce the game when you need a goal.

Benitez has to assumer full responsability for what happned out there today. You need a goal so why don't you put on your 20m striker? Or give another attacking player, one that performed very well in midweek, more than 10mn on the pitch?

Either the man made a mistake buying them, and in that case he's guilty of squandering millions of pounds we could have used elswhere, or he's made a mistake not playing them. How the **** did Dirk Kuyt stay on the field today? Apart from one knockdown header in the first half, he was a total liabilty in attack. But whatver happens with him, howver bad he's playing, unless Benitez wants to rest him, he stays on the field. And then people wonder why Kuyt is singled out for abuse. Well it's because of the sheer favoritism towards him shown by the manager.

And don't get me started on the formation used. I think it's the best one we can use when Torres is fit but when he's not it's a total shambles. It doesnt suit Kuyt nor Keane. Every time Rafa plays Kuyt up front on his own, we look completely one paced and one dimensional in attack. Remember the MIlan final? How about the Boro and City games at the tail end of the 06/07 season? Yet Rafa still plays him alone up front, why I have no ****en clue.

And if all this isnt enough the man ****en waits until the last 15mn to put the subs on and still doesnt bother changing the formation! Or throw in another striker...What the **** happened to the manager who made positive subs early on in the season? Who replaced full backs with wingers against the Boro and Wigan? Who played with 1 centre back when Skrtel was carried off at City? Why did he show balls then and not anymore? Why did he seem hellbent on winning games then but seems to accept drawing them now?

I banged on all summer about our need for creativity in the final third. About how we still lacked quality attaking midfielders who could break 11 men defences down. While people were gushing over our futile chase for Gareth ****en Barry I kept banging on about how we look out of ideas against teams at home most of the time. Yet Rafa chose to spend 20m of our little transfer kitty on a striker instead, one he apaprently doesnt think is needed when we are chasing a game and need a goal. How can people keep living with their heads in the sand? This manager has made horrendous mistakes in the transfer market this summer and we are paying the cost of it now.

Sure we're two points clear in front of the pack (not for long though) but does anyone really think we are good enough? Does anyone really think the manager knows how to win this league? Is anyone convinced we can do it?

Not me. I've been dreaming these past few weeks that hthis may be the year but todays result and especially the manager's performance has woken me up. Not a chance this season as far as I'm concerned, in fact I'd be willing to bet we're out of it by end of January tops. And if that happens the blame solely rests ont he manager's doorsteps. He's the one that squandered money in the summer, he's the one that has failed to fill the side with enough attacking talent to break defences down and he's the one that is failing to take games by the scruff of the neck.

Totally ****in agree with this guy
+1.......No-ones fault be Raffas...Am convinced the christmas period will see us slide down the table...were handing it to Man U and Chelsea....He needs a wake up call big time..Babbel and Keane should have been playing from the start..should even have played Babel as a striker behind Keane...not surprised he wants away..puts in a good performance mid week and is dropped to the bench next game.......

I am afraid that he is going to piss Keane & Babel off so much by not playing them that at least one of them will ask to leave, possibly Babel. To spend £30M odd on two players and give them feck all playing time baffles me. Fair enough, neither are playing well at the moment but how are they going to improve by sitting on the bench. Keane was trying to keep warm by running up and down the sideline today 'cos I think deep down he knew he wasn't going to get on. It must have pissed him off so much that Kuyt got 90 mins today and was dreadful whilst he gets dragged off after 60 mins whenever he starts.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

why play kuyt upfron on his own when 2 1/2 seasons have shown he's crap in that role?
                        why play doseena?
why leave babel on the bench until so late and bring on el zahr and lucas (ffs lucas when we're chasing a last minute goal)?

rafa's in super tinker, i know best self destruct mode. if we got rid of him now we'd have a fighting chance, instead we give him a new contract when he's shortcomings from when he first came here are there for all to see.

i feel sick we've dropped points at home to stoke, fulham, west ham and now hull!

He shouldn't be sacked. That's a bit extreme

By the same token, he should not be getting a contract extension yet either. It's madness. He is prone to the same tactical misjudgments in the league that he has always been. That needs to change if we are to win the League

Today he has a point Blacky. If you still thing RCDNW after that ****e today you need your head examined. 4-5-Kuyt at home to Hull is inexcusable. He needs to release the hounds.

I agree with you to a degree. Said to a mate today I thought the contract extention was premature and should have been left till the end of the season. I think he deserves one btw but feel it's been a distraction for the last number of weeks. Rafa played a stinker today. Wrong team selection, tactics and substitutions and his transfer dealings now have a major question mark over them. If you don't trust a 20 million striker you just bought to turn a game then whats the point in having him. Has he fallen out with keane? Is it man managment? I just don't understand what he is doing with Keane or Babel for that matter. I'm a fan of Rafa but frustrated as **** with him at the moment. SORT IT OUT BOSS

El zhar and Lucus????? changes should have been made at half time with Kuyt going off for Babel and keane coming on for Yossi then pushing babel up top with Keane. Crazy. This is going to cost us now as united will beat spurs then they go 4 points behind with a game in hand and we go to Arsenal next week. Poor poor rafa today.
true, sometimes his substitutions are just bizarre, Im not sure what he saw in leaving Keane on the bench today. The lad, and Ngog, had good games midweek and would have been buzzing today. Given that neither played last week I can not accept that they would be too tired to play (esp as Lucas was in the same boat as those two)
