Since he was boo'd he has been good to great every time he has played. Must have a big character as lots of players would have crumbled after that. He wasnt gave enough game time at the start of the season, now he is getting it he is showing the kind of player he can be.

i disagree. i think there is a big possibility that lucas will grow into a very good player. it doesn't always happen overnight, and when it doesn't, i think it is stupid for people to write them off as ****.

If you want to use statistics like these to qualify how good a player is, Masher would be average as well

Lucas is class, as is, Masher, Stevie G and Alonso we are blessed with these for central midfielders

People being really daft on here. I wouldnt say Lucas will 'never' be good enough, but he's clearly still got a lot of developing to do, in order to turn these recent good displays into the norm.

Calling him 'class' is wildly exaggerating.

i dont think he is class , but he is obviously adjusting nicely to the pace the prem, he is a lot stringer than last season and he still young.

it must be tough when your more out of a team than in, he came in for a bit of stick and has responed well,

he is defo getting better, is a good backup to have when people need a rest, but thats about it

Im pretty certain you wrote off Alonso in the summer. Im sure it was you on a few occasions.

I wouldn't write off Lucas at all. He is starting to play well now and show his potential

what is has shown is that he DOES have ability something many on here doubted.

the last 2 games have shown he could be good enough just needs to put those performances in regularly, I think he could be a very valuable squad player

More than 90% of Lucas's game have been as a defensive midfielder. It is only recently he is being used in his favoured role as a "box to box" player

Bollox. Lucas is class. His touches ooze class and he showed what vision he has today. What he lacked was the pace and strength required in the EPL - that's coming now. He wins practically all the headers he goes in for now and is a real threat when heading towards goal because of the inventiveness , accuracy and weight of his passes. If he doesn't make it at LFc he will make it somewhere at the very top of the game.
