i think lucas and babel need to be loaned out for a season in the premier league to a a club that comes up from the championshipwere they will play every week and get used to the league
      Players we should be signing:
Lallana, Lovren, Moreno, Vorm, Shaqiri , Memphis Depay and Adele Ali
      Players who should be going
Reina, Brad Jones, Coates, Kelly, Agger, Lucas, Assaidi, Suso, Borini, Aspas

No way should we be loaning Babel out.

The more I see of Lucas the less optimistic I am that he's going to succeed at this level. I've been quite positive about him in the past, but his inclusion in the team seems to cause problems. He's wasteful in possession and he bottles out of challenges. He needs to toughen up, and he's got a lot of learning to do. His decision making is poor. I'd love him to make the step up, but I just feel that he isn't making sufficient progress.

That would make very little sense. Even if he is not a regular started he is an important part of the match day squad as a game changing sub and we are not overburdened with talent out wide in the first place.

He's just had his house burgled. Let's not be so harsh on the kid.

Had his house robbed during the Atletico Madrid game.

No one is being harsh on him. Just don't think he'll flourish in our system and being a bit part player

Rafa has said he'll be given more freedom this year, that will suit his strengths that he showed while at Gremio. I'm not writing him off yet. Imagine if he is able to replicate this in the EPL.

Notice how there is not a clip there where he is not in the final 3rd. That's a measure of the difference between his natural game and the game Rafa has asked him to play. Hopefully we'll see him in the final 3rd more this year, because it's there that he does his best work!

I still have hope, but I understand why those who have only seen him play for us think the way they do.

Good luck Lucas. You can do it. We Believe!

His house was apparently broken into during the last couple of days.

During the Olympics he played the holding midfielder position for Brazil.

Im confident he'll come good....he looked more than useful towards the end of last season and just hasnt had a run in the team this year to find his rhythm. His touch is excellent and so is his awareness of others around him. He often creates attacks out of nothing from playing a first touch pass (usually simple) giving other players an extra second on the ball. At the moment he's being outshone by our other midfielders but in time he will definitely become an important member of the squad.

Oh and Marky lest you forget...Lucas got the winner against Crewe with a towering header where he outmuscled a couple of their players.

The stolen goods from Lucas' apartment have been found, at least his olympic gold medal, and three women aged 19, 42 and 81(!), and two men aged 21 and 45 have been arrested.

                              Good
