The fans love him, he has a great manager and they are a decent club who could be going somewhere when the dust settles

Cheers for the Goal against Arsenal Robbie .. sorry it did not work out .. Looking forward to seeing you lift the World Cup in Africa ...

lets see we beat the Chav's with him in the stands. Previous games with him on the bench we didn't do too well. Was the whole Keane thing effecting the team. Rotten apple and all that

As for proffessional - the "**** off" when being sub'd might show what was really going on.

He didn't fit into the team and couldn't change, did he have enough time? Who's to say but back to the f off comment maybe his attitude never gave himself the time. 65 minutes for "his" team hope he gives Celtic more off a chance

Its obvious Rafa wanted him out ASAP and at a huge loss. The board sanctioned it.

      As for the letter, please.
If Owen had come back and done exactly the same 90% would be shouting for him out not sending him a letter

I would imagine Robbie Keane knows exactly what 'Liverpool Football Club' thinks of him, and doesnt need some sentimental tosh to soften the blow.

Bottom line, and I dont know why some people are so spectacularly failing to grasp it, is that HE WASN'T VERY GOOD

He cost £20m, he should have cost half that. He missed more chances than is acceptable for someone in his position and he sulked and moaned when he got subbed BECAUSE HE WAS ****E

Regardless of whether or not his purchase was the right one, if he'd have been scoring goals for fun and genuinely justifying his price tag then we'd have found a way to accommodate him. ALAS, he didn't and so because the initial buy was seemingly an error, he was shipped out whilst we could still get a decent amount of cash for him

Bye Robbie. Lovely bloke by all accounts, proper Liverpool fan and all so sorry it didn't work out but I think there is really only one person to blame.......
Agreed. I saw someone say yesterday his treatment amounted to bullying. Bullying!

It's a shame that it didn't work out - if Torres had stayed fit there would have been much more time to work on establishing an effective partnership but sadly it was not to be.

I don't feel sorry for him though, it's the life of a professional footballer and it's not like he'll be struggling to put food on the table.

Right player at the wrong time for us IMO.

If he came along last season before Stevie and Torres formed their partnership he could have made it. But lets be honest, given the success of the Torres/Gerrard partnership last season could he realistically have expected to oust Stevie from that position?

**** me. He couldnt adapt to the system, couldnt lead the line, couldnt take being subbed, couldnt convert about 80% of the clear cut chances he got yet its time for the fans to apologise to him?

              Genius.

He played 28 games and had plenty of chances. He just missed them, with a few bizarre air-kicks and failed flicks.

so he became a bad player on joining us
cos most people the 20mill aside thought he was a great signing

the main thing is its not rafas fault eh

He wasnt good enough for us Elvoz. You cant miss the kind of sitters that he did.

Rafa wasnt going to use him and his value would've been dropping all the time. Selling him was the best move.

he needed more time and a run
you dont become a bad player overnight
and the decision to sell him leaves us in a desperate state if torres gets injured

I can't feel too sorry for someone who earns so much money for occasionally kicking a ball about. Some of us expected big things from him, and generally he disappointed. He wasn't mistreated in any way, he just wasn't good enough to play for Liverpool.

Does the fact that Rafa sold him on after just half a season now mean that we Internet Warriors are now free again to jugde players just as quickly instead of the normal "I'll hold judgement until he's played at least one season" mentality?
