I'm not sure why people are so keen that we rush what should be a very thorough examination of Aquilani. If we are worried about any underlying causes maybe we have to wait a day or so for the results of some tests. I'd rather we did it right and were sure of his fitness than rush it just to make sure the deal goes through ASAP.

Totally agree. We are spending alot of money on this lad and his stats aren't great so we have to be sure rather than buy his just for the sake of it. He's a good player but we need a player who can play all season long

Liverpool FC confirmed this evening that Alberto Aquilani has successfully completed a medical and agreed a 5-year contract with the club.
The player will now continue his rehabilitation from an ankle operation under the guidance of Liverpool's medical team and is expected to be fully fit in approximately 4-8 weeks time.
