To be honest, I'd be happy with pretty much a straight swap for stevie if stevie decides he wants to go to real.Originally posted by liverpooltj View PostLets get Pellegrini in and resign Alonso for a knock down fee as rumours are he is not in Jose's plans!
Xabi and Aquilani in the middle would have a lot of potential.Last edited by Kenneth; 17-06-10, 07:44 PM.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Speculation is mounting that Manuel Pellegrini will be appointed Liverpool's next manager after he was reportedly seen meeting Kenny Dalglish in a London hotel.
Odds on the former Real Madrid coach, who was sacked in May after failing to prise the La Liga crown from rivals Barcelona, taking charge at Anfield have fallen dramatically after it was alleged that the pair had been spotted in discussions at the Crowne Plaza near Heathrow Airport.
Pellegrini's agent denied claims that the 56-year-old was in the capital or that he has held talks with Reds managing director Christan Purslow but bookmakers have slashed his price from 90/1 to 4/1, but Dalglish and Fulham manager Roy Hodgson still remain the firm favourites for the role.
Reports in Italy also claim that Marcello Lippi has snubbed an offer of £4.2million per season to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad Jeddah in the hope of being sounded out by Liverpool.
The former Juventus manager, 62, is planning to step down from international duty when Italy return from this summer's World Cup and is understood to be hoping he will be considered in the Anfield board's shortlist.
Dalglish is still keen to be offered the job but the board are believed to favour Hodgson, who is in South Africa acting as a pundit for the BBC.

They are the types of names which would be good along with Hitzfeld and maybe Sven.
The only issue with Lippi would be if we were to focus on an Italian more defensive minded type of play. This is the issue I have with Hodgson.
Does anyone know much about Pelligrini pre Madrid? He inherited or was given an amazing squad there, it would be totally different with us.Quit your jibber jabber!!!
Jermaine, you know the song Billie Jean...is it about the tennis player??

He did a great job at Villarreal and got them into the CL with a limited budget. Also im sure Pepe would like to work with him again.Originally posted by saveferris View PostThey are the types of names which would be good along with Hitzfeld and maybe Sven.

You're assuming we'll be buying players this summer!Originally posted by wiw View PostPelligrini would do for me, **** yes. He was my vote in the poll. I do wonder though, is he any good at signing his own players? I wouldve thought at his clubs in Spain he wouldn't have too much input
