Can play left back as well as central.
Is he dominant in the air? I hope he is. We've been lacking that since Hyypia left.

I know but it's still stupid imo...

Ok right....the homegrown rule is season to season i believe...21 at the start of the season and he's ok.

However, for the purpose of Under-21 squads, the UEFA ruling still stands, that the player must be 21 as at Jan 1...

So Wilson will qualify for the homegrown ruling in his 3rd season, but in his final year, he will not, after the 21st, be eligible for under 21 duty.

Well, that's how i read it anyway.

A home-grown player will be defined as one who, irrespective of his nationality or age has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).
He is 18 now, his birthday is 27th Dec, if he is allowed until the end of the season during which he turns 21 he will have been here 3 years so should count as homegrown by that point.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Having read it again & taken my shoes & socks off to count again, he'll be 21 in the December of his 3rd season as an LFC player, so will qualify as homegrown.

I think not counting the SFA is another way of UEFA trying to force the FA's of England, Scotland, Wales & NI into one association, with one vote.

I thought it was the SFA who wanted to remain separate?

The SFA do, but FIFA don't like the fact that 'Britain' has 4 votes on their board. They want a single British National Team with one FA & one league structure.
A few years back UEFA tried to get Cardiff, Swansea & Wrexham out of the English leagues & into the Welsh Leagues. It was successfully argued that it was an historical anomaly & should remain.

Don't get all this hate for Bridge. Only a couple of seasons ago he was rated as a very good player, people forget far too easily. City fans I know don't want us to sign him! But with Kolorov likely to sign, Garrido and Cunningham already there. As well as Lescott and even at a push Barry, they may sell as a cut price. IMO all he needs is his confidence back games here could do that for him.

I think ideally I would want someone better as first choice LB. The options out there are limited though.
                              Forwards.......
