would you buy something this year for 5million knowing you can get it for 500k next year? would you do that with a car? house?

Mate we're not spending £5m this year on somthing we could have got next year for £500,000.

We're spending £2m this year.

Also no point getting into hypotheticals about what we could or could not have got him for next year. No guarantee he would have came to us next year.

We will only pay 5 mil if he succeeds.

It's 2mil up front and the rest in add ons.

Get him straight in and retraining as a left back. fingers crossed he can fill the void unless we get a real one.

As far as i can understand it, it's the season that counts, not the year...so if he's 21 at the start of July, he's classed as 21 for the rest of the season, so it's 3 complete seasons, not years?

I think someone posted a PL link in the Wilson speculation thread, but he has to be 21 or under come the 1st January of his third year. Wilson will be 22 by 5 days.

I still don't get this rule - if he came from a Welsh club then fine but Scottish not fine. They should make it either ALL the Associations from the UK or just England imo...

How good is the scots lad? What type of player? An out and out stopper like Skrtel or a more cultured defender? Also how tall and good in the air is he? Oh how we miss big Sami

He's very composed and distributes the ball well. Got quite a bot of pace and scores the odd goal too. He's one of the best defensive prospects we've had for years and should make the national team for the Euros qualifiers.

Can play left back as well as central.
