Another one I always thought was a tad bit overrated. A bit of a headless chicken if you ask me, his defending has always been 'suspect'. Very good left backs, the ones who excel at attacking as well as defending are a very rare breed if you ask me. I find it surprising that some people think that there's a lot of them out there, which is a fallacy, IMO.

We've always struggled to get consistency on our flanks, so it would be a wise move not to get rid of Insua.

As much as I hate the man, I think he's an outstanding full back. So good in defence and with the ability to break forward, I can't think of (m)any better.

I'd still be gutted if the tramp came to Anfield though.

Encouraging signing! I seem to recall Rafa (or someone) saying that we had several Shelvey-esq youngsters coming in this summer. British youngsters who would be knocking on the door of the first team straight away.

Wilson and Shevely will both add depth to the squad. I hope they both get given chances this season.

we shouldnt be siging this wilson bloke as he is no better than what we currently have but if citeh do complete a deal for this new left back we should defo be lloking for a deal to be done with wayne bridge. better than aurelio was and far far far better than insua is / will be / was.

also, to wade into the arguement, ashley cole is the best full back at the moment slightly ahead of both evra and lahm.

He may not be better than what we've got but he has, apparently, got a lot of potential and should improve which actually makes it a good deal when you consider Kyrgiakos is possibly going who hasn't got potential and isn't going to improve.
