I'm not advocating violence against them (although it's the LEAST they deserve) Tatterdemelion - I just think we, the fans should take a more active role in ousting them that's all as at the moment during this awful trudging stalemate what with different exec's etc being hired and moved around - their sports franchises ELSEWHERE being sorted out and our players being touted all over the place - Never mind all the Rafa' speculation - they seem to be almost laughing at us by saying ''see, we'll sort out anything - but we WON'T sort out LFC - Let it rot'' almost; And me? I just think it's time we struck back no? I think it's time WE hit THEM where it really hurts - After all, they've done it to us for 3 years now - Aren't they DUE a little payback?

And no Petebest A) I don't think that the garden will be rosy when they're gone but at least it won't be chock FULL of nothing but thorns as it currently is. And B) I happen to disagree - do you REALLY think anyone who doesn't know their stuff and CAN'T back us as we should be backed by our owners (whomever they may be) will even so much as THINK of approaching us now? I think it's safe to say all the 'out for a quick buck/need a fast money maker' merchants will avoid us like the Plague after the barrage H & G have had. And yes C) The system DOES need changing - That or destroying but THAT will take years and we have more pressing priorities at present no?

NB Tatterdemelion - IF our fans DON'T advocate violence against them then WHY have SOS PHYSICALLY blocked Tom Hicks from getting into the ground during the Arsenal game in December and forced his car to drive away without him getting into the ground and WHY was he PHYSICALLY blocked in the Directors Box in January after the Bolton game by Angry fans and given an absolute bombardment of abuse from ALL directions?

Parts of my plan may be unworkable but others have merit. Depends on which you look at. Now answer my question please. If our fans have Already USED violence on Hicks then why not tell us what you think of them doing THAT?

I think our model should be focused on developing world class young players and building a competitive teams around that because I don't think that having a capitalist mindset is sustainable in the long run, which I think the club as a whole have identified.

Real Madrid and Man.Utd are also massively in debts and I don't think they'll sustain it for much longer unless they change. Barcelona are the only team which does seem to function properly those days because they are reaping the rewards of their youth policy which they've been honing for a long long time. Arsenal are another club which is being run properly.

Yes, the Americans must go, but I can't see them going until they've decided that it's worth for them to do so. There is nothing preventing them from doing that.

That's what I was TRYING to address originally PeteBest. WE can make them decide it's time to go - We just have to put pressure on/attack them in the right manner and through the right channels that's all. BTW I also agree with what you say re Barcelona and (to a lesser extent) Arsenal and their youth systems. I think we're starting to see the same in Rafa's re-organisation of our own youth system now with an eye on producing future players for LFC (NOT lots we can sell off to other PL clubs as we used to) and also in him apparently bringing back the old system of 'grooming' our cheap purchases and youth team players in the reserves when at the right level so that they can slot straight into the first team (Insua and N'gog are examples of this as 'brought in' players as are the likes of Spearing and Darby from the youth team). It may take a while to have an effect but it IS the right way to go - The system will eventually save us having to buy in whole teams and allow us to concentrate on buying the players we REALLY need in future. But it will probably take a while to get off the ground properly as well.

Ok cheers for that Tatterdemelion - But it just shows how useless such discussion is doesn't it? It shows that whatever you or I may think of the pro's and con's of using violence that some of our fanbase and indeed some of SOS have already taken matters into their own hands somewhat; Which may mean it's not a question of doing or NOT doing damage to our image/frightening off investors. But rather one of limiting what damage HAS been done, since I can't help but think the damage in this case has indeed already been done. The horse as it were has long since bolted after we TRIED to shut the stable door. It's not so much a case of IF we might scare off investors/buyers but rather which ones have ALREADY been scared off maybe and IF we can coax any back...............
