I think Lucas is decent. Stats have their place but you only have to watch him play for us to realise that he is / has been fairly limited. Would be interesting to see how he would do under a different manager

Tell me, do Liverpool fans have to rate every Liverpool player, in order to be proper fans?

Are there any Liverpool players who you dont think are brilliant/very good etc, and dont rate?
No they don't Craig, those who bleat on about the same false claims though, that have been pretty much shown to be inaccurate maybe need to have a think do.

Babel, Insua, Degen, Skrtel, El Zhar. (though I think Insua can get better).

False in your opinion though, Matt. That doesnt make it factually correct.

Just because you think the claims are false, doesnt make it so.

Apart from the high percentage of short, easy passes that Lucas executes.

Ok. As would two players who stood in the middle and tapped the ball to each other all game.

Well, yes, if you are willing to ignore stats which show them to be false

The stats which look better due to the high number of simple short passes he plays.

As someone said earlier, opta stats showed Biscan as having a better passing accuracy rate than Alonso. Shows you how skewed the stats can look.

                          Let's go with misunderstanding then.

Anyway, as was rightly pointed out, this isn't a Lucas thread.

Then why, when we look at the Guardian game review, do we see different. Why don't other midfielders have such good stats or volume of passes exactly?

Because they play a higher amount of longer, riskier passes that probably dont reach their target. Lucas plays fewer of these.

You're ignoring the fact that i actually do WATCH the games, and i know what i'm seeing. You acting as if i'm making a judgement based on something other than seeing the matches.

I couldnt give a **** what a newspaper review says, i base my opinion on what i see.

Does the 'Guardian game review' say he plays a lot of forward, dangerous balls? Because he doesnt.
