I feel we are at a major cross roads at the moment, and we need the right men in the right jobs sadly I don't think we have any men in the correct jobs and Hodgson now falls in that criteria.Support him, I guess so as I'm a Liverpool fan, trust him to get thinks right and fight our corner..... not a chance. I think he has been brought in to try and shut us all up and it has back fired on the dicks running the club.Hodgson is not a man that will move us forward, I feel he has come in to sell certain players and take the flack when everything goes wrong. I hope I'm so so wrong and that by xmas we are all chanting his name,but I doubt it very very much.

This is so very hard to take, watching something you love so much being destroyed from within, and the feeling of helplessness that theres nothing you can do, and we're supposed to just accept it....and support, do the things Hicks predicted we would when he took over.

i am more confident going into this season with roy than rafa and who can blame the board for wanting to go british, both houiller and Rafa have done wonders at the club in changing mentalities and how the club was run from top to bottom. Roy has extensive knowledge and i am sure he can add to tha too.


I honestly dont believe he could have turned it round and listening to Broughton there are reasons to be positive on that front to.

One of my mates was going on about Hodgson having managed much bigger clubs than LFC in response to my complaints about his appointment on Facebook. ****ing clown- I soon set him straight.

Then the reality of it all set in again- we won't be welcoming the likes of Real, Inter & Juve to Anfield again before the eyes of Europe and sending them home with a good kicking. Did anyone at the press conference ask Broughton, when he said the club may be sold before even the transfer window shuts, why then did they hand a 3 yr contract to a new manager, when they had a tailor made interim manager in Kenny.

I think his logic is more that a new owner is likely to want to chose their own manager. Which seems reasonable. With one already in place I would expect him to be given a season no matter what and if a new owner comes in and is really interested in building a stadium etc. then I guess a payoff would be comparatively small fry for them any way.

I think that is as near as a guarantee as you can get in football tbh. Even if Gerrard, Mascher and Torres all left I'd still fancy us to come top 6 if he re-invested the money into the playing squad.

Don't think a serious investor would want such control over football matters, especially when Roy was appointed 'te right way' after wide consultation. They may not give him 3years, but I don't see a correlation between appointing Roy on a 3 year contract and the ownership situation. If we were sold as a billionaire play thing, maybe, but I don't think this is likely.

Yeah, that one season, no different, so many fans seem to think it about just one season.

He better had, this side finished 2nd the season before under the manager the club sacked, won a european cup and went to another final under him, i would have expected top 3 from Rafa this season...with a very fired up squad i'd hope.

As for the bet, i'll go 50 he wont finish higher that Rafa did the season before last.

So many fans, blinded by one bad season.
