I messed it up.
The report on .no said seven players, but I counted eight. They probably meant seven players from the academy, Shelvey can`t really be counted as a LFC product. And I can`t count.
It`s the final for the U-19 European championship from 31 may to 5 june, which seems a bit short.Last edited by Resu; 10-05-11, 02:44 PM.Blank

Apparently the tournament is split the group stages all occur at different times and in different places for the different groups in the 'Elite Round'Originally posted by Resu View Post

England's group has Spain, Switzerland and Montenegro, with games on 31st May, 2nd June and 5th June. The winners of these groups go through to the final 8 which is two groups of four with the top 2 from each group going through to the semi finals and then final. All of which takes place in July/August.
Which seems a complicated format
Ok thanks for clearing that upOriginally posted by Resu View PostNo I can`t, because it`s just seven.
I`ve never learned how to count properly in english

Their crowing about it is seriously ****ing me off. Coming out with **** like "MUFC win the FA Youth Cup for a record 10th time, maintaining our tradition of breaking records" etc.
Tradition? A three day old tradition?
Their team finished 5th out of 10 in the league, won 12 lost 10. And we beat them about 8-0 or whatever it was. They mugged us at Anfield having been outplayed.

Anyone know why the Youth Cup seems to carry so much more prestige than the league? I don't really get it, especially at a time when the FA Cup proper barely registers these days. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm really annoyed having lost it to them of all people. But they've come out of this season with a tinpot and one talent worth talking about (and his name is circulating in prisons) whereas we have players like Suso, Wisdom, Sterling, Ngoo, Adjoran and Silva who they would love to have. One tit for another.

TBF I keep hearing a lot about this Paulo Pogba lad too. Hope he's $#!T. And then there's this Italian mid fielder whose name I forgot. Attacking player.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostTo be fair they're creaming themselves over Pogba and Tunnicliffe too but yeah it's ****ing annoying.Patience when teased often, transforms into rage

Very pleased with that. Makes sense to do that and I think it might have been a promotion of sorts to ward off clubs trying to poach Borrell.
I like Borrell, not sure why but he has a certain air about him that looks like he is highly professional but incredibly demanding and fun all at the same time.
