Konchesky might not be very good, but IMO suggesting Agger is a better option is nonsense. I'd rather see 'quite young, not totally proven and also a CB Martin Kelly' there instead. Played there in pre-season if memory serves? Which is obviously a perfectly valid barometer

Agger is better than him in that position, this speaks volumes on how good Konchesky is, as a left back. I don't think his career at LFC will ever take off.Originally posted by Fierce View PostKonchesky might not be very good, but IMO suggesting Agger is a better option is nonsense. Konchesky is a better option than Kelly and Agger, but that doesn't make him a good LB. Personally speaking I don't think we could have signed a good LB this summer.
I think Konchesky will prove to be okay though if he can settle in the side. Think his biggest problem has been lack of understanding with the CM on his side. A more alert DM (such as masch) would have cut out so much of the crosses that have come from the second man, where as Poulsen has failed to close down or see the danger in time.Forwards.......

No actually he is not as LB.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostAgger is better than him in that position, this speaks volumes on how good Konchesky is, as a left back. I don't think his career at LFC will ever take off.
Konk is not particularly good LB but between him and Agger in that position I would sadly agree with Konk (personally wished we never signed him) being a better choice.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Of course Agger's no left back but that doesn't prevent him from being a better alternative than the horrific Konchesky.Originally posted by Mostar View PostNo actually he is not as LB.
