Actually Elisha Scott over at YNWA, who happens to be a good mate of Gerrard's pretty much said this. And Carra in his book pretty much said it too, with his rants on getting in an English manager, praising Houlier, and saying pretty much bugger all on Rafa, except he hated how he'd broken up Melwood.

Now I'm not saying they didn't have their points, but they certainly had their agendas.

gerrard and carragher were pretty **** through last season. carragher cost us at the start of the season and gerrard simply never got going.

if they wanted rafa gone, then they are guilty of treason in my book. they let the club down last year and its their fault we finished 7th. pair of cunts if there is even a hint of truth in this.

I am sure they did, Rafa wasn't everyone's cup of tea and his man management was certainly not the best but to say he was pushed out by Carra and Gerrard is a stretch too far for me.

He went for finishing 7th but more importantly having a boardrooom full of enemies that were going to jump on him once that 4th place wasn't acheived.

I'm sure there were a lot of reason's for wanting him gone from a lot of different angles, the Board, the dressing room, the fans, the media, even the ****ing tealady.

I never said it's Carra's or Gerrard's fault, but I'm quite sure they certainly had their say.

Don't give a **** if Carra or Gerrard go now.
            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Undoubtably they'd have said something and probably not positive but I think they'd have been more than them saying it - Nando didn't seem to fussed when he went either.

So no need to get defensive!

Sorry you took it that way. Certainly wasn't intended.

I seem to remember Torres was on the verge of leaving even after Rafa had been sacked, so I'm not really convinced by that.

If the Gerrard/Carragher are too powerful stories are true then we need someone equally powerful to counterract that

Thats why we should have gone for Kenny and thats why we should go for Kenny short term now

He commands HUGE respect in Anfield he wont be blown off course by Carragher or Gerrard they will have to toe the line they would never win a popularity contest against Kenny, beside which he has a track record as a player and manager that dwarfs their achievements

The fans would instantly be lifted and frankly I think hed actually get us doing what we need to be doing

That is being on the front foot rather than standing off teams

We only seem to get started when we go a couple of goals down and by then its too late

FFS Hodgson was only starting shouting at the players on or around 80 minutes

If Henry came out and said we are putting Kenny in charge from now until January or now until the summer when we will review it again then that is the get out in case things go wrong. There will then be no shame if it goes tits up Kenny can go back to the academy and carry on

We just cant let the current situation continue

Ah no worries mate, very touchy after yet another dire footballing performance!

I think it's going to take something special for him to stay now, the way he's being used is a joke - granted still getting back from yet another injury but one of the best strikers in the world being used like he is, well it's almost criminal!

and I dont buy this sentiment that if Kenny comes in and ****s up his reputation will be tarnished in the eyes of the supporters

Fowler left and came back a shadow of the player he was and it didnt do him any harm at all

Kenny will always be a legend no matter what

Oh and as for the sentiment that Kenny has been out of the game too long I'll say this

If you have a formula one car and you wanted to win a race

Would you pick the now retired Nigel Mansell or some bloke whose best achievement was managing to get a go-kart round the track without crashing

Good analagy - I personally would like to see Pelligrini come in as manager but the King would be a great appointment if only for the huge lift it would give us the fans.

I'd take Pellegrini but I think at this moment in time we need someone like Kenny

Kenny until January, and then bring in Pellegrini (to spend some money under Kenny's guidance).
