Erm Blackburn had won the league 2 season prior to Hodgsons appointment and were considered a top team at the time. He simply destroyed them.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostHe's not really managed at the top in this country though. Blackburn & Fulham would struggle away from home regardless who was in charge. We weren't that great last season either, but then that's been done to death on here.

I don't think he has. I think he came with that mentality but he's learning that there is another way. It's a vicious circle and hopefully a run of decent away results will help him break out of it.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThe point is though, he has taken that Blackburn and Fulham struggling mentality and brought it to us.

If he has to 'learn' that the way Liverpool do things is different to that of Fulham/Blackburn, then he shouldnt be working in football full stop.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostI don't think he has. Blackburn were a top side who spent lots of cash. Don't let Roy getting them relegated cloud your judgement.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostHe's not really managed at the top in this country though. Erm Ray Hartford came between Dalglish and Hodgson and we shouldn't underestimate the impact Shearer's departure had on the club. Roy's Rovers finished 6th after having finished 13th the year before his arrival. He had a lot of money to spend and got them relegated. They should have been nowhere near the bottom three.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostErm Ray Hartford came between Dalglish and Hodgson and we shouldn't underestimate the impact Shearer's departure had on the club. If we fail to beat Newcastle who are pretty low having lost their last 5 games and just sacked their manager Roy should be sacked after the final whistle. This shoiuld be away win number 14 for roy there can't be any excuses although i'm sure he will have plenty. You never know, football is football. It could be in five years' time, ten years' time, two years' time. We have two years of a contract here, we are really pleased here, the people are very nice, the fans are very similar to Liverpool fans, with passion, so everything is going well."
But Liverpool is home? "Yeah-it's the only house we have. Liverpool is my home and I will come back."

Agreed, but they still spent big in comparison to most other teams. A chairmans mind not being on the game should make no difference when he's still signing the cheques.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostThe moment Jack Walker won (bought) the league his mind wandered. Blackburn were in decline as soon as that goal was achieved, imo.Forwards.......

He should have been sacked after countless other games. He's going nowhere this season. End of the season and he may be replaced. But I'll not hold my breath for that either.Originally posted by Tezza1974 View PostIf we fail to beat Newcastle who are pretty low having lost their last 5 games and just sacked their manager Roy should be sacked after the final whistle.
