Never had the intelligence to be any good, 13 league goals is not good enough and when his pace goes his career will go because he is a totally one dimensional player.
Harsh to just look at the league when we had no chance of winning it then. Still, a ratio better than 1 in 4 is not too bad considering the injuries he had to recover from and as mentioned above playing in RM.
Important penalty in Istanbul, crucial goal in FA cup final, 2 goals for European Supercup. That's not too bad for our worst ever signing.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
He was so incredibly physically fit as well, he was like a Kenyan runner, non stop pressure. I remember his first few games and being completely taken with him.
Real shame what happened to him, but by the end, he couldn't pass.
Vauxhall Motors lost a player when he left as well, his brother played there while he was at Liverpool
An amazing one man wrecking ball at his best. Some awesome performances for us. Barca away was incredible.
Yep. I was at that Chelsea game and he was immense. It just went a bit wrong when he actually won the ball back. Lasting memory has to be that attempt at control that went vertically about 50ft in the air. Not that lasting as I can't remember who it was against, or anything else about it, but it was funny.

Mancs at home, Kop end about 35 yards out from goal. That really did sum up his regression after the shoulder and eye injuries.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
