He really couldn't pass the ball though. The man had to be one of the worse passers I've ever seen.

That said he's no where near a worst 11.

Harsh to just look at the league when we had no chance of winning it then. Still, a ratio better than 1 in 4 is not too bad considering the injuries he had to recover from and as mentioned above playing in RM.

Important penalty in Istanbul, crucial goal in FA cup final, 2 goals for European Supercup. That's not too bad for our worst ever signing.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He was so incredibly physically fit as well, he was like a Kenyan runner, non stop pressure. I remember his first few games and being completely taken with him.

Real shame what happened to him, but by the end, he couldn't pass.

Vauxhall Motors lost a player when he left as well, his brother played there while he was at Liverpool

Yep. I was at that Chelsea game and he was immense. It just went a bit wrong when he actually won the ball back. Lasting memory has to be that attempt at control that went vertically about 50ft in the air. Not that lasting as I can't remember who it was against, or anything else about it, but it was funny.

the one-man two-man midfield. he was so great in the beginning that i nearly forgot he was black, and ruining the sport.

His heading was almost Traore-esque at times...

Mancs at home, Kop end about 35 yards out from goal. That really did sum up his regression after the shoulder and eye injuries.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

And we poached him from under the blue noses of the blue noses, which was nice.

Still can't believe Rafa signed him as a striker for Valencia, I'd love to see the videos of when he played there.

Rafa never signed him, the director of football did, but he was only 17 at the time, never played before.

Not much in it though really, was there? They were both pretty gash. Kromkamp seemed to have a worse attitude from what I remember.
