Fair enough. I just remember reading an article years ago saying he was signed as a striker and played there a few times for Valencia but by chance was moved to DM due to injuries. I know almost every professional footballer will claim to have played CF in their youth, but the idea of Momo playing there at any level just seems amusing.

Kromkamp was far better than Josemi

I'm not sure. Technically, yes, but I had a soft spot for Josemi because I liked his attitude. He was rash and clumsy but he tried hard and wasn't afraid to get stuck in. Kromkamp was more comfortable on the ball but he did tend to ponce around and get caught out position. Poo or turd I guess.

I was at that game too, horrible stuff, we thought he had a fractured cheek bone or something. Never the same player after that really seemed to knock his confidence.

That's a good show of faith by the club. Ok Rafa, you can sign 1 player, just as long as he costs no money and will demand very little wages. The 'lamp' he wasn't happy about probably cost more.
